Paradigm is a keyword found on a cycle of Secrets of Strixhaven sorceries. After a paradigm spell resolves for you the first time, it is exiled and creates a lasting effect that lets you cast a free copy during each of your future first main phases.
Because the recurring copies continue even if the original card later leaves exile, resolving the first paradigm spell is the important part. Each paradigm card is also a Lesson, opening additional interactions with older Strixhaven cards.
