What are Land Destruction decks in Magic?

Land Destruction decks attack opposing mana bases by destroying, sacrificing, or otherwise removing lands. The strategy can target individual utility lands or attempt to leave an opponent with too little mana to execute a game plan at all.

Strip Mine provides highly efficient targeted destruction, while Pillage can hit either a land or artifact. Cards such as Wildfire combine mass land destruction with creature damage, rewarding decks built to recover faster than their opponents.
