What is an Unmodified Precon in Magic?

An Unmodified Precon is a preconstructed Magic deck being played exactly as it was sold, without cards being removed or added. The tag most commonly applies to Commander preconstructed decks.

Keeping a precon untouched preserves its intended theme, power level, and decklist for comparison or casual play. Even swapping one basic land for a different card technically turns it into an upgraded or modified precon.
