Specters are flying creatures traditionally associated with black mana and forcing opponents to discard cards after they deal them combat damage. Their combination of evasion and hand disruption makes every successful attack hurt twice.

Shimian Specter can Lobotomy a single nonland card from a foe’s hand, library, and graveyard upon connecting, while Liliana's Specter forces discard immediately upon entering. Discard payoffs such as Waste Not also fit naturally.
