PreDH decks

What is the PreDH format in Magic?

PreDH is a Commander variant that restricts the available card pool to cards printed before the original Commander preconstructed decks appeared in June 2011. New Phyrexia is therefore effectively the end of its card pool.

The idea is to recreate Commander as it existed before Wizards began designing cards specifically for the format. Players still build around legendary commanders, but modern Commander staples and commanders printed from Commander 2011 onward are absent.
