Samurai are a creature type associated most strongly with Kamigawa and combat. Their cards span bushido, Equipment, and newer strategies rewarding a Samurai or Warrior attacking alone.
Imperial Subduer can tap down blockers when one creature attacks alone, while Selfless Samurai provides protection and life gain. Isshin, Two Heavens as One can double attack triggers from Samurai without requiring a purely typal build.
