Deck tag: Artisan

What is Artisan in Magic?

• Legion Lieutenant
• Merfolk Mistbinder
• Empyrean Eagle

Artisan is an MTG Arena constructed format in which every card in a 60-card deck must be common or uncommon, similar to the tabletop Peasant format. A deck tagged as Artisan on Archidekt often follows this common/uncommon restriction, even if it isn't a part of the Artisan format itself.

Without rare sweepers or combo pieces, the format rewards efficient creatures, cheap removal, and synergy. Typal decks are especially strong, since uncommons such as Legion Lieutenant, Merfolk Mistbinder, and Empyrean Eagle work to help pump entire boards.
