What are Artificers in Magic?

Artificers are Magic's inventors and engineers, the creatures who build, repair, and tinker with artifacts. The type lives mostly in blue, with plenty of white and red members, and many Artificers either reduce artifact costs or create artifact tokens like Thopters and Servos.

For a dedicated Artificer deck, Cid, Timeless Artificer is the obvious leader. He pumps artifact creatures for every Artificer you control and every Artificer card in your graveyard, and since your deck can run any number of copies, cycling away extra Cids only makes the bonus bigger. To fill out the count, Maskwood Nexus turns every creature you control into an Artificer, and changelings slot in anywhere.
