Obosh, the Preypiercer can be your companion if every nonland card in your starting deck has an odd mana value. Lands are exempt, but cards with even mana values can't appear in the starting deck.
Once on the battlefield, Obosh doubles damage dealt by sources you control with odd mana values. Cheap odd-cost threats, burn spells, and three-mana permanents can therefore become significantly more dangerous.
