Heroes are a creature type that first appeared on Hero tokens in Final Fantasy and received extensive support in Marvel Super Heroes, where many Marvel protagonists are printed as Heroes. Hero decks can now build around the type directly, with cards that reward controlling, attacking with, or assembling multiple Heroes.
Avengers Assemble! gives your Heroes +2/+2 and can draw cards when Heroes enter or attack, while Hawkeye, Trick Shot turns each Hero entering into direct damage. Captain America, Super-Soldier can also give you and your other Heroes hexproof so long as he has a shield counter.
