Saprolings are a creature type most commonly seen as 1/1 green creature tokens, closely associated with Fungi, sacrifice, and token strategies. Shroofus Sproutsire is the only legendary Saproling creature ever printed, and the first nontoken Saproling card.
Shroofus creates even more Saprolings whenever one deals combat damage to a player, while Tendershoot Dryad steadily produces them and Sporecrown Thallid strengthens the colony, as does Verdeloth the Ancient.
