Fungi are a creature type closely associated with Saproling tokens, spore counters, sacrifice, and slow-growing value engines. Many classic Fungus cards accumulate spores before turning them into an expanding colony of Saprolings.
Tendershoot Dryad continuously produces Saprolings while eventually making them much larger, while Sporecrown Thallid provides a simple typal boost. Nemata, Primeval Warden adds graveyard hate and token production.
