What are Hydras in Magic?

• Primordial Hydra
• Hydroid Krasis
• Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Hydras are a creature type associated primarily with green mana and +1/+1 counters. Many enter with a number of counters determined by how much mana was spent, letting Hydra decks turn enormous mana production directly into enormous monsters.

Unbound Flourishing doubles down on X-cost spells, while Kalonian Hydra can double the +1/+1 counters across your entire team when it attacks. Benevolent Hydra provides another way to increase counters as they're placed.
