Toughness-focused decks prioritize creatures with extraordinarily high toughness, allowing them to absorb attacks and survive damage that would destroy normal creatures. Some turn all that backside bulk into an offensive resource.
Creatures such as Yoked Ox provide enormous toughness for very little mana, while Stoneskin and similar effects can push defensive numbers even higher. Defender-heavy strategies naturally overlap with this term.
