What does Islands Matter mean in Magic?
Islands Matter decks use cards that care about the number of Islands you control. These cards are almost entirely blue, rewarding heavy or mono-blue mana bases with control, card draw, and large creatures.
Vedalken Shackles steals creatures with power up to your Island count, while Scourge of Fleets and Spectral Deluge bounce every opposing creature with low enough toughness. Eluge, the Shoreless Sea grows with your Islands and can turn other lands into Islands with flood counters.
