I generally play budget ($100-200 tcg price, no cards above $15 only a couple at $10) commander, it's just what is the most interesting. A lot of my decks are upgraded precons or were pieces of precons at some point. Simic is my favorite two color followed by Azorius but tricolors is where its at. Temur is my favorite color combo and my favorite deck is my Saheeli energy deck that I built up from the precon. Cold(?) take: proxies are good, just as long as you match your playgroup's price-range. The tier lists are based on how I like color combo on its own (leftmost is best).
