I fell in love with commander with the very first precons and cut my teeth with Ghave, Guru of Spores at the head of \"Counter Punch\". This kickstarted my love of tokens and messing around with death triggers and the graveyard. Fast forward a few years to Khans of Tarkir and my favorite commander quickly became Sidisi Brood Tyrant. She was the perfect blend of Tokens/Graveyard Matters, being an engine and payoff all in one. I've moved cards in and out over the years but the core of the deck has remained. Eventually, I began to wonder if I would ever find another commander that would match my preferred playstyle so well. It turned out that Varina, Lich Queen was exactly the commander to do so. I tried multiple versions before settling on a midrange-control deck that looks to extract maximum value out of the graveyard. \n\n\tLittle did I know that in building these decks I was starting on a journey to build a graveyard synergy token deck in every color combination. So far I have found a suitable Commander in every 2 and 3 color combination except Gruul, and Temur. I have a self imposed restriction to find commanders that either utilized cards in the graveyard, entering the graveyard, or leaving the graveyard to generate value (usually in the form of creature tokens).
