Naturally, with this being my first deck, I've heavily leaned into that. I also do not like having over-abundant resources as it feels like clutter. I'm pretty sure all of that shows, in this deck.\n\nI like long games - over 9 turns, up to 2 hours. I'm a board/ttrpg/video/PC gamer, not a card gamer. Quality of games over quantity of games. I also don't generally play to win. I play games to do just that - play the game. The game is the goal, not winning. When I do win, I tend to feel a bit sorry for others because those games are often from me hitting a chance win-con early, crushing others before their decks turn on, or being ignored because a bigger threat is on the board while I'm silently building up ways that prevent my losing of anything on my board.\n\nI don't like high consistency, in Commander, so this deck has only fetch lands as tutors. I feel consistency shouldn't be a part of a singleton format game of 100 cards - it defies the intent of the format. Players with multiple tutors, in their deck, to find the same 2-4 specific cards for a game ending engine..., not fond of that. These players want multiple 15 minute games where they can try to wank themselves off to that same win-con over and over and become untenably upset when that win-con is taken away from them. \"You removed one thing and now my deck is completely shut off! *Whine whine whine* FEEL BAD FOR ME, YOU'VE DONE ME SO WRONG\". These people are not fun to interact with, for me. Also 9 total noncreature artifacts, 6 non-creature enchantments.\n"}]}

Notably, the addition of Biomancer's Familiar makes this even more efficient - with Preston able to make copies of BF and Agatha's stealing enemy activated abilities, most end up costing 1 Mana. Intrepid Hero allows for near board wipe, if enough creatures have +1 counters. Ioreth of Healing House allows disgusting combos. Arbor Adherent, Crystalline Crawler, and Bloom Tender allow for massive mana counts. Hopeful Initiate allows for mass artifact and enchant wipes. Loch Mare allows for massive card draw and counter-based control. If the cauldron is lost, Riftsweeper has work to do."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"The Silver Surfer allows for Appa-level rescue, with the benefit of a fast and free return."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Preston with Luminous Broodmoth, Cauldron of Souls, or Glen Elendra Archmage herself, cloning becomes a powerful tool in the deck but a very niche outcome, since this deck does not tutor (intentionally) for creatures, artifacts/enchantments, or instants/sorceries."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"False Prophet becomes an excellent board wipe, using High Market with Appa available to save the home team. If things get desperate, Riftsweeper (especially with multiple etb triggers) become a saving grace for having to exile your own crew. Even better if Cauldron of Souls is available to place False Prophet back on the battlefield. These aspects combine into a one-sided creature board wipe. If the prophet has Lightning Greaves on, then dealing with him means getting the desired effect anyway, as a mass wipe/exile needs to occur."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Cauldron of Souls, Basking Broodscale, or Glenn Elendra Archmage benefit, in a nearly broken way, from Shelinda or The Great Henge. Vizier of Remedies and Melira, Sylvok Outcast are sitting on the side-board, should anyone wish to replace a card based on their table."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Creatures that require the most protection should receive Indestructible, Hexproof, and +1/+1 counters. This leaves them vulnerable to only mass exile or EXTREME -1/-1 based board wipes. Agatha's Soul Cauldron should receive the Indes and Hexproof counters as well. Should any of these, or their sources of protection be under threat of mass exile, have bounce/airbend/blink ready if a counterspell isn't."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Kellan benefits from Falco's casting from library passive, the airbend, and the ultra-rare casting from graveyard that this deck allows. The new paradigms also trigger him, on the subsequent recasts. Prepared spells even contribute to this."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"The new 'prepared' mechanic allows for some mild abuse of Emeritus of Truce's STP. This is quite the boon to this overstuffed deck that lacks direct instants. With the new Paradigm (essentially emblem effects) mechanic, the deck more than makes up for the lack of non-creature interaction."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":" Prepared and Paradigm spells count as casting from exile, which will trigger Kellan constantly."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":" Replicating ring with any of the counter doublers. "},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Ioreth untapping The Golden Throne, after it has sacced a creature that has persist from Cauldron of Souls, then saccing something else that was also persisted this way. A free 6 mana."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Cauldron of Souls with anything that adds +1 counters, on entry, allows for great destruction resistance."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"The Great Henge often comes out for 2 mana, due to counters, so becomes a free mana/counter/draw/life source."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Super-Adaptoid allows for more options of counter creations, through its mere existence. If Vorinclex is out, he can do silly things like making haste counters, which can then be moved. Assume he has the following counters: Haste, Hexproof, First Strike, Indestructible, Trample, Lifelink, Deathtouch, and Menace. Denry Klin is also on the field, with a Vigilance counter. Now cast Slippery Bogbonder, move all of the counters from Adaptoid to Denry. Denry becomes untouchable, outside of saccing, and imparts ALL of those counters on every creature entering after him."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Win-cons/Game Breaking Interactions:"},{"insert":"\nCounter doublers like Vorinclex, Innkeeper's Talent, Deepglow Skate, and Doubling season allow for the 2 planeswalkers to instantly become impactful."},{"attributes":{"list":"true"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Chocobo Knights allows for any sort of counter, on a creature, to activate double strike. When I first started playing regularly, Counter Blitz had just released. The two decks merged and eventually became this, after over a year of playing Magic Commander. As of the Marvel 2026 release, I think the deck is in its most \"complete\" state. I only plan to add the Turbulent lands that will come from Reality Fracture, for now. That said, power creep is real - Silver Surfer replaced Brago, for instance... big sad.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"About Me:"},{"insert":"\nI'm a summoner that also loves damage mitigation and incremental building who believes in a strong defense, in most games I play. Naturally, with this being my first deck, I've heavily leaned into that. I also do not like having over-abundant resources as it feels like clutter. I'm pretty sure all of that shows, in this deck.\n\nI like long games - over 9 turns, up to 2 hours. I'm a board/ttrpg/video/PC gamer, not a card gamer. Quality of games over quantity of games. I also don't generally play to win. I play games to do just that - play the game. The game is the goal, not winning. When I do win, I tend to feel a bit sorry for others because those games are often from me hitting a chance win-con early, crushing others before their decks turn on, or being ignored because a bigger threat is on the board while I'm silently building up ways that prevent my losing of anything on my board.\n\nI don't like high consistency, in Commander, so this deck has only fetch lands as tutors. I feel consistency shouldn't be a part of a singleton format game of 100 cards - it defies the intent of the format. Players with multiple tutors, in their deck, to find the same 2-4 specific cards for a game ending engine..., not fond of that. These players want multiple 15 minute games where they can try to wank themselves off to that same win-con over and over and become untenably upset when that win-con is taken away from them. \"You removed one thing and now my deck is completely shut off! *Whine whine whine* FEEL BAD FOR ME, YOU'VE DONE ME SO WRONG\". These people are not fun to interact with, for me. Keep consistency for bracket 4 and 5 players or Standard.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"\"Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game.\" - Soren Johnson"},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Muh 'tism:"},{"insert":"\nMy favorite numbers are 6, 8, and 9 and a few of their permutations. Particularly 96. I love fractions of that number and this deck happens to have 48 creatures (with commander) and 32 lands - half and a third of 96, respectively. Also 9 total noncreature artifacts, 6 non-creature enchantments.\n"}]}
