{"ops":[{"insert":"Deck #14: We all know and hate us some Koma\n\n"},{"attributes":{"underline":true,"bold":true},"insert":"Koma Time"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nDisclaimer:\n\nJust your run-of-the-mill lawyer disclaimer. Just kidding, but seriously, just a heads up, I run most all of my decks light on lands compared to most people. Koma in fact has probably the least land of any of my decks. Don’t ask me how that works, but it generally does. Now that we’ve overcome that little challenge, we can move forward.\n\nIntroduction:\n\nHey players, as you can see, this is Koma at its possibly worst. As he is pretty much the universally hated commander that no one wants to see ever. Some people even buy this guy just to keep as many copies of him “out of the wild”, but jokes on them, as that only tends to makes people more interested. Anyways. This deck, much like almost all of my decks does incorporate a potential turn 1 Commander summon draw, but it’s primary focus is to mass produce as many Koma’s “into the wild” as humanly possible and as quickly as possible. To do this, early mana rocks are key. Commander tokens by avoiding the Legendary rule is also important to this decks success. It is technically possible to have BILLIONS of Koma tokens that will create countless billions of Coils on each upkeep phase. So it really can become a headache to face if it manages to get off the ground.\n\nStrategy:\nField and protect Koma ASAP"},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Duplicate Koma"},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Overwhelm field or Wincon draw out"},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nEarly Game:\n\nPriority 1 is to get Koma on the field at all costs. That’s a 5 card lottery draw that will leave you with 2 any color mana, 3 colorless mana and 3 Jeweled Lotus mana to get your commander out on turn 1 and effectively start the endgame process before the game even begins. But that might be a one in a million draw. So that’s not really a sound strategy so much as it is a way to show that there are ways to get a sizeable amount of mana on your field fast and early on. That early mana is what you need to be striving for so that you can cast Koma as quickly as possible, because you are going to be everyone’s target as soon as you reveal your deck.
