Ramp early and often, draw into your win cons or tutors, and stack mana like it's nobody's business.\n\nHelix Pinnacle is the likelier of the two alternate wincons; it has built in protection, and benefits from both counter doublers and big mana. Calendar is arguably one of the most fun and silly finishers in Magic, but requires untapping to really shine. \"Commander staple\" Malachite Talisman is your hero for this one. Deploying Calendar on turn one definitely improves your chances, or you can tutor for it with Urza's Saga to try to get it on the board early. Opponents tend to ignore it until it hits triple digits. \n\nIf this gameplan doesn't manifest or somehow implodes, your backup is leveraging your mana dork army for an alpha strike swing with Craterhoof or Finale. Your backup backup is Praetor's Counsel. In most games that type of last resort is often too late to matter, but with the kind of mana this deck can make it's not too hard to resolve it in the mid to early-late game. \n\nAs you work towards one of these wacky closers, defend your board with deathtouch dorks and an unusually high number of fog effects to keep other players off balance. Store your mana on Omnath or Horizon Stone if possible, allowing you to save up for a truly explosive finisher through Pinnacle, Finale, or even a massive Stonecoil Serpent.\n\nWith all of the mana generation, this deck probably doesn't "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"need"},{"insert":" the commander to win, but it will certainly make things easier. Changling synergies like Maskwood Nexus and Springleaf Parade can give the Notary bunch exponentially more potential, and with the right early game actions, you can pull way ahead of your opponents in both mana and value. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Powering Up ⚡ "},{"insert":"\nThis was never be intended to be a combo deck, but that doesn't mean you can't make it into one. Food Chain can chew up your Notary multiples to generate a crazy amount of mana, especially with Doubling Season or Parallel Lives to take advantage of commander recasts. \n\nUmbral Mantle also generates infinite mana with any of your commanders as long as you have at least four \"Halflings\" on the board.\n\nIf you have the luxury of owning a Gaea's Cradle, there are probably better homes for it than this deck, and I won't waste time explaining why it's very good here.\n\nFinally, if you find yourself consistently staying at a higher life total than your opponents, Hurricane and/or Squall Line are great additional finishers.
