{"ops":[{"insert":"This deck utilises one of the worst commanders in the game, notorious for his uslessness, Ishi-Ishi (2005). I'm in love with this little fella, look at his goat!\n\nAll cards, bar three, were released prior to 2010. The deck aims to play Knowledge Pool so opponents have the ability to cast your spirits (and take damage from Ishi). This is the only Ishi-Ishi deck on EDHREC (apart from my non resticted version of the deck) that functions to then cast a bunch of unplayable spells to fill up the pool, limiting opponent options, allowing you to then play enough spirits to fill the rest of the pool, eventually. Then when opponents cast spells from the pool they can play spirits (take 2 damage from ishi), play harmful cards (might aswell take 2 damage) or play nothing. The deck has as many instant speed spirts/arcanes as possible, to snatch cards when opponents try to play them through the pool, it ends up feeling very controlly. In my opinion, this is the only semi-viable build for Ishi (it's stil awful).\n\nMind Slaver is very fun, you win the game in your soul when you pull off a Mind Slaver activation with the right setup. You can play cards from your hand and cards from their hand on the Mind Slaver turn, making them cast game losing spells and lots of spirts. Meanwhile you are replenishing the spirit pool and takening all their lovely spells, it's a beautifu thing.\n\nI wanted to set a self restriction to have most of the cards in the 99 be released before 2010 to keep to the contest's spirit. Knowledge Pool was released after 2010. Possibility Storm, also released after 2010, was included because it gives you the power to decide whether a player can put a spell in the pool or not (possibility storm top of stack on opponent casts). Additonally, Inventors Fair enables additional tutoring for Knowledge Pool and enables a pseudo tutor, Expedition Map, as tutors are light before 2010.\n\nI have suggested some great addtions to the deck if it wasn't to have a restriction on release date, ie cards released after 2010, notably Glorious End and all the extra Tutors.\n"}]}
