I liken it to a gargantuan construct Mishra is building that takes years and immense power, but is extremely powerful and oppressive once it's awake.\n\n\tCurrently I don't have very much disposable income and my favorite MTG content creator, The Trinket Mage, has in the past stated that building budget versions of your commander decks can help focus it since you can't be allured by expensive good cards which have less synergy with your deck than some obscure cards. I started out using this deck as a ~80% proxied version with every expensive tutor and as many expensive really good artifacts as I could find. It wasn't very good. So, to the end of making a deck which will function well and will be fun to play while also being affordable in my nearly-broke state, I have come up with this $20 budget list. As of the time of writing I have not bought these cards yet, but in the coming month when my budget renews and I have some cash to spend again I will purchase these cards and play with a commander deck that I actually own all of the cards to for the first time in a long time.\n\n\tI have started buying cards using store credit at my LGS, though I have run out.
