Replaced with Abrupt Decay to clear the way for wincon. Added Borne Upon A Wind to attempt to win on opponent's turn when the deck draws into a win-con on someone else's turn. \"Emergence Zone\" was not chosen for this deck because in my experience, opponents tend to hold more interaction when E-Zone hits the table. Born Upon A Wind is more sneaky, at the same net cost of activating E-Zone (essentially 2 lands "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"worth"},{"insert":" either way)\n\nv3.0 The new Orcish Bowmaster meta had made previous versions of this deck obsolete, forcing a cut of 19 cards that were either OBM bait or were support for those cards. Added 19 cards, including mana rocks in lieu of artifact hate and mana dorks. Added Rath's Edge as tech to help combat OBM. Added Crop Rotation to get Rath's Edge or other utility lands as an instant if needed in a pinch. Mana dorks with Freed From The Real and Pemmin's Aura strategy is out. Instead, added Power Artifact to combo with Grim Monolith (added this build) and Basalt Monolith. Added Transmute Artifact to get to combo piece sooner. Added Shred Memory in lieu of Deathrite Shaman, which is now obsolete in OBM meta. Shred Memory acts as GY hate to hinder or stop Breach lines, Reanimate attempts, Mnemonic Betrayal attempts, and Tayam lines. Shred Memory was chosen over Muddle the Mixture because it leaves \"the right mana\" open after transmuting more often than Muddle in this color combo. Added Praetor's Grasp in case my Thassa's get exiled. Added Faerie Artisans to test as a stax piece to stop anyone from attempting Thassa's or Dockside while it's in play (plus Borne Upon A Wind can help flash it in to steal a win from someone attempting a Thassa's win). Re-added Smothering Tithe back in to support Mox Opal. Re-added Seedborn Muse as a test to see if it's still too slow for the build. Replaced Diabolic Intent with Eladamri's Call as the deck runs barely any mana dorks now. Added Grand Abolisher because it needed it and I picked up an extra copy. Added OBM because it's necessary in 2024 (and helped me win my first game with this new dorkless build). Have not tweaked the mana base to color fix from swapping 18 non-land cards, although the deck appears to be running fine so far. May need a tweak of 1 less green mana source and increase 1 blue source. \n\nv3.1 Removed Ranger Captain because he only had one good tutor target (the Esper), and I had added Grand Abolisher last update for one less CMC, without having to sac. In Ranger Captain's slot, I added Tishana's Tidebinder which stops Thassas's, Dockside, Bowmaster... and devastating cards like Nekusar. I faced him the first game I ran Tishana's and it saved me (Nekusar and OBM shut down my Thrasios big time). Removed Archivist of Oghma because my lil \"Willow\" wasn't drawing me many cards lately. Replaced with Copy Artifact to copy The One Ring mainly, or mana rocks if needed. Replaced Faerie Artisans, despite not getting a chance to draw into it the only 2 games I ran it. So I cannot say if how effective it is in this deck as I have no experience with it. But I definitely needed Phyrexian Metamorph to be able to copy The One Ring, so it took Faerie Artisan's slot in this update (have to test Artisans another time). Replaced Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire with Minamo, Water's Edge to color fix from these updates and to provide a way to untap The One Ring after copying someone's.\n\nv3.2 Removed Shred Memory as I haven't been facing Tayam as often, since OBM came on the scene. Replaced with Urza's Saga to help with achieving Metalcraft to get Mox Opal online.\n\nv3.3 Needed more GY hate after removing Shred Memory. Reverted back to a couple of cards which were recently removed when adapting to OBM meta. Re-added Deathrite Shaman for GY hate and early game mana (eating dead fetchlands). Since Shaman was re-added, Ranger Captain of Eos replaces Grand Abolisher again, now with 2 good tutor targets - Esper Sentinel or Deathrite Shaman. Also removed Sylvan Scrying to replace with The One Ring (finally got a copy so I don't have to rely on copying theirs!)\n\nv3.4 Haven't needed Yawgmoth's Will in a while; been a dead card lately. Replaced it with Finale of Devastation as an infinite mana outlet, or to dump a key creature from the library into play. Also replaced An Offer You Can't Refuse, which has backfired a couple of times from giving opponent's mana on the stack, with more mana - Carpet of Flowers. \n\nv3.5 Seedborn is too slow in this build. Plus there's not enough dorks left in this deck, since the OBM meta took over. In lieu of Seedborn, I'm switching back to Lotho, which will help with getting Mox Opal online sooner. Also replaced Urza's Saga (not the most optimal build for it) with Shred Memory, which I used to run in the past. Re-adding Shred Memory will stop Tayam + Ranger Captain locks, Breach Combos, Bomber-Man, Worldgorger Reanimation and more. It also acts as a backup tutor to get Tainted Pact, Thassas's, Kinnan, Power Artifact, Devoted Druid, OBM, Drannith, Cyclonic Rift, or any 2 drop targeted removal spell to get out of a bind.\n\nv3.6 Post-Ban changes: Went outside my comfort zone and went down to one basic. Need more games to see if it still needs an Island in case of Blood Moon. Going to lean into mana rocks to offset the increase in Blood Moon play in the post-ban cEDH world. Removed: Island, Plains, Rath's Edge, Fracture, Peacekeeper, Mox Opal (because of inconsistent Metalcraft), Phyrexian Metamorph (because there's no Dockside to copy). Added: Alchemist's Refuge, Talisman of Dominance, Delighted Halfling, Bloom Tender, Flusterstorm, Culling Ritual and re-re-added Seedborn Muse as I went up on mana dork count. Might re-add Diabolic Intent if I get the dork count back high enough... \n\nv3.7 Needed room in the deck to experiment. Removed Dark Ritual (because I don't run Necropotence in here any more) and replaced it with my Chinese Gaea's Cradle to test if I have enough creatures for it. Removed Dovin's Veto (strong for stopping win attempts) and Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff (no good vs. Rule of Law, but great for Chrome Mox fodder) to make room for adding Pollywog Prodigy for card draw and Hazel's Brewmaster as an additional way to go infinite (create a Food copy of Devoted Druid from the yard without summoning sickness, that can untap infinitely for green). Added Faeburrow Elder back in, removing Shred Memory... again. Might try Armored Scrapgorger instead, as it acts as GY yard, if I get owned by Breach or other graveyard loops.\n\nPatch notes for v3.8 through v4.1 were exiled by a Bojuka Bog, but here's the gist of it:\nThe post-ban cEDH world of 2024 initially created more variations of TnT, until Hazel's Brewmaster was proven to be highly effective. My playtests included several lines now removed from the deck to streamline it. Version 4.11 below is the most effective for me so far.\n\nv4.11 Moving to a more creature-centric build came with growing pains. I tested so many \"packages\" each week until I found a combination with the most synergy for Spelltable games, kitchen-table cEDH and LGS cEDH. If this were tEDH, I'd add Praetor's Grasp back in and throw in Vexing Bauble. But Praetor's Grasp can be a pain over Spelltable, so it's out.\n\nThis build now has 6 one-drop creatures as potential Ranger Captain targets - with the 4 main targets being 1) Esper Sentinel for card draw 2) Walking Ballista if able to create infinite mana 3) Mockingbird if there's something worth cloning on board 4) Deathrite if there's problematic cards in graveyeards\n\nThe main focus of this build is to mulligan to a hand with card draw. Then deploy value engines that are fed by opponent's actions. Get Tymna out and get creatures through for Tymna activations. Card draw is key in this deck. Eventually hit an infinite mana combo and dump the mana into Thrasios until we draw our deck, then play Walking Ballista for 420,000,000. And of course, there's loads of ways to piece together a Thoracle win that can be pushed through protection. Sometimes it's worthwhile to try to jam through an unprotected Thoracle win when the table is tapped out and answer-less from another opponent getting stopped when going for the win. If 2 players ahead in seat order have just tried to go for the win and got shut down, chances are high that following up with an unprotected Thoracle win could win the game. \n\nCurrently, I'm still running the Necropotence support package, despite it being cut from the deck. That includes Borne Upon A Wind "},{"attributes":{"strike":true},"insert":"and Valley Floodcaller."},{"insert":" I'm considering either cutting those as they are rarely needed in this build (surprisingly), or I might add the Floodcaller and Banishing Knack combo... but then at that point, I may as well add Hullbreaker Horror, since they both rely on recasting mana positive rocks. Therein lies the challenge with TnT decks. There are almost too many viable options. And when one package is added, it's hard to not add in complementary packages with shared cards. And this is the reason I am running a less popular infinite mana combo (which has won me games), Grim Monolith + Power Artifact. Power Artifact also combos with Basalt Monolith, which was already in the deck with Kinnan. At this time, it's working as a complementary packages and time will tell if it stays in the deck. \n\nI have not added the Derevi package yet, but I'm weighing options. I may rebuild Kenrith and run the Derevi package in place of my old Dockside loops (banned). After some testing, I'll see if Derevi is better suited for TnT or Kenrith. \n\nPost-Ban Adds show where I've landed on additions to TnT, and there's a category showing what I've removed post-banning. \nThis current build is winning games. \n\nv4.12 Removed Talisman of Progress (too slow) and Path to Exile, dropping to 13 ramp and 9 removal. Went up on card draw and tutors by adding Neoform back into the deck for utility or wincon, and added Faerie Mastermind back in to benefit from Smothering Tithe in a pinch, activating Faerie to cause 3 opponents to draw. If 2+ opponents do not pay for Tithe, sac 2 treasure and activate again. Repeat as many times as necessary to find an answer to the stack.\n\nThis was a very strong build.\n\nWent 11-11 with this build versus:\nKinnan"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Tymna Thrasios"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Malcolm Dargo"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Breya Farm"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Tameshi"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Derevi"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Gitrog"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Heliod"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Sisay"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Yuriko"},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nBefore this "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"exact"},{"insert":" build, I've played this deck against other commanders like Tayam, Rog Si, Mad Farm, Najeela, Slicer, Kenrith, Magda, Godo and more over the years.\nThis build is ready to face those commanders as well. Just save mana for interaction.\nOne of the most important considerations with this deck is choosing the right hand. Mulligan aggressively for card draw, and worst case play Tymna to get a card draw engine online.\n\nv4.13 Swapped Swords for Path to Exile now that I'm running Archivist again. Boseiju, Assassin's Trophy and Path can all trigger my Archivist or Opposition Agent. I don't like to give people a land for a creature I exile, but it's better synergy than Swords with Oppo and Archivist.\n\nv4.14 It was rare, but sometimes I ran into mana base issues running so many utility lands. So I decided to move my Underground Sea from my Blue Farm deck to TnT in place of Yavimaya Hollow (which was a nice removal deterrent, able to regenerate my key creatures like Devoted Druid, Hazel's, Thrasios, OBM, Esper, Tymna). Swapping another dual land in should clean up the mana base a bit.\n\nv4.15 Borne Upon A Wind has surprisingly been a dead card for 4+ games. The deck has Alchemist's Refuge. Added Kutzil to give an additional way to push through my win attempts. Going to test it out over going back to Grand Abolisher. The idea is that the deck has so many 2 drops, I can Neoform into the Kutzil or Ranger Captain. I have more 2 drop creatures than 1 drops. And if I'm Neoform-ing a one drop, I'm likely searching for Thassa's or Devoted Druid or Kinnan to win the game. So I'd rather not block that by adding another 2 drop, hence the 3 drop silence on a creature. \n\nv4.16 Added Delney to double Tymna triggers, Bowmaster triggers, Lotho triggers, Esper Sentinel triggers and early Pollywog triggers.\nRemoved Seedborn Muse AGAIN. I run this card for a few months every year or so. I have come to the conclusion each time that it's STILL not fast enough for this deck, even with new cards being printed since I last ran it in this deck. I win before I need Seedborn. If I'm going to cast a tutor or Neoform type effect to search for a creature, it's going to be the other half of my wincon - not Seedborn.\n\nIf I draw Seedborn in my opening hand, I typically consider it a dead card (being a mid to late-game card). I'm looking for "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"card draw"},{"insert":" in my opening hand, or "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"both"},{"insert":" pieces of a combo (or tutor and combo piece) and enough lands to get Tymna out to draw into a way to push through my combo or protect the attempt. Therefore, I have removed Seedborn yet "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"again"},{"insert":". I love the card, and there's definitely some synergy with several cards in the deck, but it's just not right for this build. This deck is too busy shutting down other player's win attempts and feeding off their game actions until it can peel open a window to silence the table and win. \n\nv4.17 Although Blind Obedience stops many win attempts and helps to close out games with the Snap + E. Wit + Gaea's Cradle combo, I needed room for Gifts Ungiven now that is unbanned... because it's completely cracked and can grab 4 cards to win the game - E-Wit, Reanimate or Hazel's Brewmaster, Devoted Druid, Swift Reconfiguration.\n\nv4.18 Back on Crop Rot! Added a Talon Gates of Madara for Crop Rot shenanigans. Allows instant speed creature removal by sac-ing a land and tutoring the Talon Gates into play. Once they let the Crop Rot go off (expecting me to get Cradle), the Talon Gates' ETB is tough to stop. Should open up a way to clear the way for a wincon just before my turn. Also, it's funny to Crop Rot into Cephalid Coliseum with Threshold to take out an opponent going for a Thoracle win. Lastly, Crop Rot opens up a way to get my Otawara or Boseiju into the yard if I had played them \"the wrong way\" earlier - then get them back with Noxious or E-Wit.\n\nRemoved Talisman of Dominance to make room. In this deck there's only two cool things about it. The ability to get out from under Blood Moon easier (producing the blue needed to play a bounce spell) is good vs. Magda. The second cool thing about Talisman is being able to pull off a T1 Sol Ring into Talisman, which is rare. Don't "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"really"},{"insert":" need it. I'd rather drop Esper or Fish T1. \nRemoved Bloom Tender to make room for Talon Gates. \n\nRemoved Alchemist's Refuge (flash enabling land) to swap in Emergence Zone (flash enabling land). It also works very well with Crop Rot. My only hesitation about adding E-Zone is that's a "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"lot"},{"insert":" of utility lands now, maybe too many. But since I removed Bloom Tender (too slow and not my best Neoform target) to make room for the Talon Gates, I didn't cut into my land base to make room. Games will tell if this was the right move.\n\nv4.19 Cleaned up land base a bit by removing Yavimaya, CoG and Urborg, ToY because they gave opponents a way around my Opposition Agent and Archivist of Oghma, not "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"needing "},{"insert":"to crack their fetch lands. Those legendary lands "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"do "},{"insert":"help me avoid enemy Oppo and Archivst triggers, but this deck runs plenty of removal to deal with an opponent dropping one of those two.\nThe deck seemed hungry for white mana lately (E.G. A couple of times I cast Ranger Captain but didn't have enough white mana remaining to cast Esper without tapping out). So I've added Tundra to replace Urborg. I hate moving cards between decks, but it's coming out of my Blue Farm deck! Added a basic Island in place of Yavimaya to give a second target in case I get Pathed or Assassin Trophied. Island also helps to get out from under a Blood Moon, using Chain of Vapor.\n\nv4.20 Removed Opposition Agent to add Voice of Victory for another silence effect - with upside for Gaea's Cradle.\n\nv4.21 Removed Noble Hierarch to add Oboro Breezecaller to be able to untap Cradle or Minamo (for Cradle or One Ring) while returning utility lands to hand, like Talon Gates, Otawara or Boseiju.\n\nCheck back later to see how this build evolves. Thanks for reading the patch notes!\n"}]}
