Despite this, you'll want to establish sufficient defense such that opportunistic players don't farm you to death for value because you're exposed when nobody else is. Most importantly, you'll want to demonstrate the significant consequences of aggression leveled against you by supercharging the mutual enemies of whomever has transgressed your designs. \n\nEstablish and enforce your boundaries by shaping incentives, disincentives, and motivations. Openly discuss options and opportunities to control the board with all other players at all times. If someone is getting too far ahead of the pack, work with the other two players to bring them back to earth, because your only hope to win is through a lengthy war of attrition. Accomplish this by milling options into your graveyard, then using the"},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":" threat"},{"insert":" of the bullies as much as/more than you actually activate them; remember - tapped down bullies cannot engage in enforcement. Try to sit on them like you'd hold a lone counterspell for the right moment... until you've established a means of utilizing them repeatedly and aggressively.\n\n(Play guide): You are going to need to mill yourself heavily - not least of all because normally, Beamtown Bullies only gets to call in each threat once since they don't return to the graveyard without help. Establishing a meaty graveyard full of potent options is a top priority for this brew; ergo, you want mill and infrastructure in your opening hand. Big beaters in hand are actively bad (you want them in the graveyard), and a grip full of them is an easy mulligan at the outset - unless you're also holding Sneak Attack.\n\nOnce you have some fatties in the bin and Bullies on the field, you have some real leverage. It's not exactly a 'gun' to everyone's head - but nobody wants to be the one getting hit by a donated Balefire Dragon. I, personally, find it is ideal to keep these most decisive threats available while spending 'lesser' behemoths to begin chipping away at the resources and advantage of the player(s) currently at the top of the threat assessment hierarchy - options such as Living Inferno, Bahamut, Treeshaker Chimera, and Meteor Golem are particularly suited to doing this sort of work.\n\nAs you work to level the playing field, you'll want to enhance your efficacy by establishing a means of reusing creatures 'recruited' by the bullies - which Royal Assassin, Tempting Licid, Avatar of Woe, and Staff of Compleation excel at. Furthermore, being able to use BB more than once per turn cycle is also a significant upgrade, and why the deck runs Sting, Seeker of Skybreak, Marvin, and Quest for Renewal.\n\nIf you can restore balance to - and maintain that balance upon - the battlefield, you will find that you can encourage/force your opponents to grind each other's HP away until only one haggard and ruined foe remains.\n\nYour options are much more limited in heads-up play, and you will find that you often need either a surprise finisher such as Sneak Attack, Feldon, Tempting Licid, or Shifting Woodland - or that you actually have to switch gears to hard-casting your monstrosities and overwhelming them the 'old fashioned' way.\n\nWinning with this deck is VERY difficult, but I find that it is a fun brew to play even while losing - and in 10+ years of playing EDH, I have never experienced a higher high than earning the W with this deck.\n\nPS: The deck will keep the game alive and mill itself hard enough to empty its whole library into the graveyard more often than you might guess. This is the only reason for the inclusion of Worldspine Wurm, Shenanigans, and Doctor Doom - which otherwise do very little for the deck. With any means of either discarding Wurm, casting and killing it, or halting your draw by dredging it into the graveyard with Shenanigans, you can use WW to keep one card on top of your library to avoid drawing to death. Doom can simply convert an empty library into a win - but the deck will usually mill him into the graveyard with few options for recovery.\n\nPPS: The commander, The Beamtown Bullies, is rather notorious among players who have squared off against them before. This is because they are normally used to engage in unusually-tedious, player-eliminating degeneracy with cards like Leveler and Eater of Days - which are included in more than 85% of Beamtown lists, per EDHRec. You may experience serious, undeserved aggression from these players as they try to kill you before you deploy nuclear plays that this version of Bullies doesn't actually include - unless you can impress upon them that this is "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"genuinely"},{"insert":" not "},{"attributes":{"underline":true},"insert":"that"},{"insert":" kind of Beamtown Bullies deck. (I like to explain that, with the possible exception of Enslaved Horror, this Bullies list - unlike those ones - includes only creatures I would prefer to cast and resolve on my own battlefield, had I but the resources to do so.)\n"}]}

Despite this, you'll want to establish sufficient defense such that opportunistic players don't farm you to death for value because you're exposed when nobody else is. Most importantly, you'll want to demonstrate the significant consequences of aggression leveled against you by supercharging the mutual enemies of whomever has transgressed your designs. \n\nEstablish and enforce your boundaries by shaping incentives, disincentives, and motivations. Openly discuss options and opportunities to control the board with all other players at all times. If someone is getting too far ahead of the pack, work with the other two players to bring them back to earth, because your only hope to win is through a lengthy war of attrition. Accomplish this by milling options into your graveyard, then using the"},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":" threat"},{"insert":" of the bullies as much as/more than you actually activate them; remember - tapped down bullies cannot engage in enforcement. Try to sit on them like you'd hold a lone counterspell for the right moment... until you've established a means of utilizing them repeatedly and aggressively.\n\n(Play guide): You are going to need to mill yourself heavily - not least of all because normally, Beamtown Bullies only gets to call in each threat once since they don't return to the graveyard without help. Establishing a meaty graveyard full of potent options is a top priority for this brew; ergo, you want mill and infrastructure in your opening hand. Big beaters in hand are actively bad (you want them in the graveyard), and a grip full of them is an easy mulligan at the outset - unless you're also holding Sneak Attack.\n\nOnce you have some fatties in the bin and Bullies on the field, you have some real leverage. It's not exactly a 'gun' to everyone's head - but nobody wants to be the one getting hit by a donated Balefire Dragon. I, personally, find it is ideal to keep these most decisive threats available while spending 'lesser' behemoths to begin chipping away at the resources and advantage of the player(s) currently at the top of the threat assessment hierarchy - options such as Living Inferno, Bahamut, Treeshaker Chimera, and Meteor Golem are particularly suited to doing this sort of work.\n\nAs you work to level the playing field, you'll want to enhance your efficacy by establishing a means of reusing creatures 'recruited' by the bullies - which Royal Assassin, Tempting Licid, Avatar of Woe, and Staff of Compleation excel at. Furthermore, being able to use BB more than once per turn cycle is also a significant upgrade, and why the deck runs Sting, Seeker of Skybreak, Marvin, and Quest for Renewal.\n\nIf you can restore balance to - and maintain that balance upon - the battlefield, you will find that you can encourage/force your opponents to grind each other's HP away until only one haggard and ruined foe remains.\n\nYour options are much more limited in heads-up play, and you will find that you often need either a surprise finisher such as Sneak Attack, Feldon, Tempting Licid, or Shifting Woodland - or that you actually have to switch gears to hard-casting your monstrosities and overwhelming them the 'old fashioned' way.\n\nWinning with this deck is VERY difficult, but I find that it is a fun brew to play even while losing - and in 10+ years of playing EDH, I have never experienced a higher high than earning the W with this deck.\n\nPS: The deck will keep the game alive and mill itself hard enough to empty its whole library into the graveyard more often than you might guess. This is the only reason for the inclusion of Worldspine Wurm, Shenanigans, and Doctor Doom - which otherwise do very little for the deck. With any means of either discarding Wurm, casting and killing it, or halting your draw by dredging it into the graveyard with Shenanigans, you can use WW to keep one card on top of your library to avoid drawing to death. Doom can simply convert an empty library into a win - but the deck will usually mill him into the graveyard with few options for recovery.\n\nPPS: The commander, The Beamtown Bullies, is rather notorious among players who have squared off against them before. This is because they are normally used to engage in unusually-tedious, player-eliminating degeneracy with cards like Leveler and Eater of Days - which are included in more than 85% of Beamtown lists, per EDHRec. You may experience serious, undeserved aggression from these players as they try to kill you before you deploy nuclear plays that this version of Bullies doesn't actually include - unless you can impress upon them that this is "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"genuinely"},{"insert":" not "},{"attributes":{"underline":true},"insert":"that"},{"insert":" kind of Beamtown Bullies deck. (I like to explain that, with the possible exception of Enslaved Horror, this Bullies list - unlike those ones - includes only creatures I would prefer to cast and resolve on my own battlefield, had I but the resources to do so.)\n"}]}
