{"ops":[{"insert":"Hey all, this is Shis95, you can call me Shane if you want or Shis, it doesn't matter haha. I've been an avid magic fan since the start of 2013 when my younger twin brother got me to try magic for the first time when the Theros set got introduced way back when, he told me it was the plane of Greek mythology and I was sold onto it since then. I am the resident Golgari player in our little playgroup that we got in my little hometown of Merritt. Always my dream would like to play with Josh and Jim on Command Zone just for the fun of it. \n\nNow I have collected over thousands upon thousands of cards since then and little time to even develop them (I mean who hasn't finished a deck while brewing up new ideas haha). So far as of November 28th of 2023, I have one deck for each color scheme across the wheel.\n\nMy five favorite planes and reasons on my choices:\n\nTheros: The resident plane of Greek Mythology in the MtG multiverse. I was a big fan when they showed off their version of the gods and how they function with the plane itself. My very first commander was Thassa, God of the Sea and was focused more on summoning sea monsters to fight even though blue is more about cancelling fun haha, but I digress. What I find Theros appealing is that despite the meddlesome of gods and monsters galore the people are hardy and never give up even if they are destined to a doomed existence in life. I even loved the Dungeon and Dragons book that really fleshed out the plane. It really pained me when Theros got absolutely wrecked in March of the Machine (but glad to see they offed Heliod, in a rather anticlimatic.), and i would love to see who survived the interplanar invasion."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Kamigawa: I did not have the chance to play the old Kamigawa sets, but I was there to play when Neon Dynasty came about and was floored on how successful the set was! The cyberpunk vibe mixed with technology vs tradition is always a good conflict for a plane that is heavily advanced. My group predicted that the Wanderer was from Kamigawa since she had that lone ronin vibe going on. I was also excited to see when Jin-Gitaxias managed to compleat a planeswalker even if the first victim was to be Tamiyo (RIP). Would really hope that Kamigawa gets a Dungeon and Dragon expansion book like they did with Theros!"},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Innistrad: Some of favorite commanders come from this plane (Grimgrin, Gisa & Geralf, Olivia Voldaren) and a big vampire fan which I find funny since my brother prefers the werewolves to vampires. I absolutely floored a commander game once with Gisa and Geralf since they got some good support cards during Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon (but always my top card for them would be rooftop storm). I've also liked that even with the death of Avacyn, humans have always known to find more ways to keep surviving the horrors of the plane even without divine aid. Something that I find endearing on a bleak plane."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"New Phyrexia: All will be one! Absolutely love the eldritch machine horror vibes. I even got a tattoo of the Phyrexian symbol on my arm to show complete devotion to Blessed Mother. I just wish that their takeover was more consequential as well a proper sendoff during the March of the Machine as I really did not like how they treated the praetors. Even though the planes were thoroughly wrecked, there was so much more to be done. They should have done a 5 block series like the big build up for War of the Spark."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Ixalan: What is not to love a fatal-4-way war between dinosaurs, pirates, vampires, and merfolk?! Personally I went with the pirates as my number one commander is still Admiral Beckett Brass. But when they brought Jurassic World in the Lost Caverns of Ixalan. I wanted them all!"},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"}]}
