Gríma, Saruman's Footman

Whenever Gríma deals combat damage to a player, that player exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile an instant or sorcery card. Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"Nazgul deck, limited to LotR only cards and even inside LotR cards, mostly \"villain\" cards.\n\nMain win goal: use its commander to generate enough wraiths to trigger its ultimate ability and overrun opponents.\n\nMana base: On the lean side. Only 14 cards (including commander) costs 5 or more. This is why it has only a few mana rocks, also.\n\nEarly game: Until you can play your commander, play any mana rocks you draw and try building your temptation counter (The Ring Tempts You mechanic). It is not a overpowered mechanic, but with Nazguls in play, it becomes really strong, so you want to play Nazguls as soon as possible. There are 9 Nazguls in the deck, and you will also use Ringsight and Sauron's Ransom to fetch them, if you don't draw any. You have a lot of control spells you can use early, but you are better off saving them for later, if possible.\n\nMid game: Play your commander and start generating wraiths. There are 32 instant/sorcery spells, and 11 of them also tempts you. Generating wraiths while being tempted with a Nazgul in play will create a very strong board for you. Don't be afraid to use your wraiths to chump-block, if needed, and remember you can instantly generate a 3/3 wraith and surprise your opponents during combat. Keep growing your board steadily and getting a chunk of your opponents health whenever possible. Save your counterspells to protect your commander - your main weakness is having your commander repeatedly removed. Try to keep your hand full with draw spells and Call of the Ring. As a rule of thumb, you are better off letting a wraith token be your Ring Bearer.\n\nLate game: Get your ultimate ready and overrun your opponents. Raise the Palisade and Subjugate the Hobbits are also game-winning spells, even if you don't ultimate. Hard casting Decree of Pain is a possibility to start from zero with lots of cards in hand, if needed. But sometimes even the wraiths alone, being tempted with Nazguls in play, are enough to finish a game, as opponents are normally 20 HP or less.\n\nFinal thoughts: It is a themed deck, first. What I mean by that is the cards were chosen for flavour first. It is a fun deck to play, but it also lets your opponents play and you don't have many ways to stop them. The deck has obvious flaws and should have some terrible matchups (decks wrathing and reseting the board every 2-3 turns are a nightmare), but it wins its fair share of games. I know this deck has \"The One Ring\", but I really do think its bracket is a 1 or low 2. It has a tough time against most modern pre-cons, but can win a few games. Definitely a deck suited for the casual table.\n"}]}
