{"ops":[{"insert":"Back to Magic after a 15-year break — this is the first Commander deck I’ve ever built.\n\nThe deck is built around Ureni of the Unwritten and a Temur Dragons shell, with the main goal of ramping quickly, cheating large Dragons into play, and snowballing through powerful ETB and combat triggers. I wanted it to feel explosive and unpredictable rather than overly combo-focused, while still having enough interaction, card advantage, and protection to stay competitive at a strong casual table.\n\nWhat I really enjoy about the deck is how quickly seemingly innocent board states can get out of hand. Cards like Miirym, Roaming Throne, Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas and Dragonhawk can turn a single Dragon entering the battlefield into a chain of triggers, copies, damage and card advantage. Ureni adds another layer of unpredictability by turning every attack into a bit of Dragon roulette.\n\nThe deck has a fairly high mana curve, so a big part of the build is dedicated to ramp and cost reduction. Birds of Paradise, Delighted Halfling, Dragonspeaker Shaman, Urza’s Incubator, Selvala and the various land-ramp spells are there to get the engine online before the hand gets clogged with expensive Dragons.\n\nIt’s deliberately not built as an all-in combo deck. There are some ridiculous interactions and board states possible, but the deck generally wants to win through accumulating value, explosive Dragon turns and combat rather than assembling the same deterministic win every game.
