She plays the pivotal role of helping Urza and the crew of the Weatherlight escape from Rath. Unfortunately, in doing so she also creates one of Magic’s lasting villains, Ertai. This deck takes advantage of that lasting connection and employs the work of Gix’s and Sheoldred’s sleeper agents. As the emissary, her downfall will come from those closest to her as she comes to realize that in the shadows lie Phyrexian ninjas ready to bring her to compleation.\nWhile sly infect damage is one of the driving forces behind this deck’s creation, the ninja tricks are honestly the highlight of it all. The magic of being on the good side only to realize your ally is a compleated Phyrexian ninja whale ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Great Whale"}},{"insert":")truly makes for great irony within the flavor text on "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Lyna, Veil of Vengeance"}},{"insert":". Furthermore almost every card in the deck is from a Phyrexian-themed/affected set.\nMy ultimate goal was to make a funny deck that employs ninja tactics where shadow is actually supposed to be employed. I found an interesting connection between the two while making this deck and the added irony of Phyrexian infection taking roots in the deck is like icing on the cake.\nNoticeably, I neglected to add any form of Ertai’s cards. I did go over them, playing around with how to fit their counter abilities into the larger network of my deck. Ultimately, I found that they weren’t consistent enough to maintain flow in the decks overall purpose. That is why I opted for many of the modern praetors over him. I still consider it a huge flavor win to add both Gix and Sheoldred, both of whom pioneered a vast network of sleeper agents. Even in "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sheoldred, the Apocalypse"}},{"insert":"‘s flavor text she makes a nod to Gix, well a jab really. I plan, of course, to later involve less expensive cards to alter but keep the same feeling throughout the deck, seeing as my addition of certain tutors skyrockets the value. The deck also sits in a bracket of four, and, while I agree with that assessment due to the amount of game changers, ultimately the way you play it determines its bracket as it takes a dedicated brain to understand what you are searching for based on the game state.\n"}]}
