The dungeon mechanic is clunky, but it's easy enough to go through in Arena, so this is where my Acererak deck gets to live.\n\nWe've got a couple of wincons here depending on how the game is going. We've also got a lot of redundancies in case our opponent is running a bunch of hate. Coincidentally, we don't exactly care what our opponent is doing, so long as we're getting our precious cost reducers down.\n\nTypical win for this deck is to utilize cards like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"The Sibsig Ceremony"}},{"insert":" or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Urza's Incubator"}},{"insert":" (or any two of the other cards which reduce casting cost by 1) so we can cast "},{"insert":{"card-link":"A-Acererak the Archlich"}},{"insert":" for just {B}. From there, we might get lucky on "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Davriel, Soul Broker"}},{"insert":" and pull his emblem reducing our costs by {B}, making Acererak free, or we'll utilize "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Defiler of Flesh"}},{"insert":" or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth"}},{"insert":" to cast him with life. If we're in a pinch, we'll use "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Paradox Engine"}},{"insert":" and some mana rocks.\n\nI choose to go through the "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Dungeon of the Mad Mage"}},{"insert":" since we're casting Acererak for so cheap. There's an argument to be made to choose "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Lost Mine of Phandelver"}},{"insert":", but I find Mad Mage to be more thematic and rewarding. Then we just work the Dungeon until we find cards that will set us up for victory, like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Emrakul, the World Anew"}},{"insert":" or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger"}},{"insert":".\n\nOf course, there are a few cards to force our opponent to discard hurtful cards, but it's not quite the focus. We'll use "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Defense Grid"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"The Immortal Sun"}},{"insert":" to keep interaction down.\n\nMost of the creatures are here as fodder for "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Semblance Anvil"}},{"insert":".
