Pioneer decks
What is the Pioneer format in Magic?
Pioneer is a nonrotating Constructed format built primarily from Standard releases beginning with the Return to Ravnica set in 2012. Decks contain at least 60 cards, can use up to four copies of a card other than basic lands, and may include a 15-card sideboard.
Pioneer occupies the space between Standard and Modern, offering a continually expanding card pool without reaching as far back into Magic's history as Modern. It maintains its own banned list.
