I built this deck for cEDH and without access to these cards, I do not believe it is still viable, and as such will have to be retooled for a lower power level, I am leaving this list up as a record should I be allowed to play it again. I think over the years I've taken apart and put this deck together about 5 times since they came out. I always seem to end up building this deck again and again. This time I decided to go all in. What would the deck look like if I tried to make the strongest version of it possible? Which brings us to here, the first draft of the ultimate form of my favorite duo. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"What does this pile of cards do?"},{"insert":"\n\n\tOf course we have the traditional "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Brain Freeze"}},{"insert":" lines, but I'm not here to explain brain freeze to you. I wanna talk about why we're playing the Kenrith twins. The star of the show here is Will; he draws us cards and reduces the cost of most of our spells. The catch is he costs 6 mana. Our first goal is to power him out using the usual route of fast mana rocks. Will also helps protect himself with that plus one ability, helping him to stave off attacks. If we can make it to our turn (or if we have enough mana) we can draw some cards to get a discount on our spells, which we can use to chain together extra turns. This lets us activate Will again and again.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Rowan isn't useless however."},{"insert":"\n\n\tRowan does in fact serve a purpose in this deck, and that's her ultimate ability. If we got there with "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Teferi, Temporal Archmage"}},{"insert":" or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Tezzeret the Seeker"}},{"insert":", we can likely produce infinite mana and infinite planeswalker activations, allowing us to draw our entire deck, likely winning the game through Thassa's oracle. If we have grim monolith, we can make infinite colorless mana, or simply leverage our ability to get twice as many Will activations, which will likely help us to snowball our way to victory, especially if we can chain turns together. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Why is clockspinning in the deck?"},{"insert":"\n\n\t"},{"insert":{"card-link":"Clockspinning"}},{"insert":" is technically a relic of the deck from a bygone era, but not one I'm completely willing to let go of yet. Our gameplan is simply too slow, and involves too many moving pieces. Our primary gameplan involves a 6 mana planeswalker, and if we simply cast him and pass, then we're probably going to lose him. I do think this deck is capable of performing at high power tables though, perhaps resting in the fringes of cEDH. More testing of this version of the deck should give me some insight on where it goes and what changes need to be made. I hope to make this an ongoing project, finding out where this deck rests, and what changes can be made to it. Currently, this is only the first draft, back by all my prior testing of older versions.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Conclusion"},{"insert":"\n \tI am deeply enamored with these two planeswalkers. I built the original version by my own design, and ever since I have been obsessed with refining that deck, taking some breaks in the process.
