Artifact
Creature
Skulk (This creature can't be blocked by creatures with greater power.) Ingenious Prodigy enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, if Ingenious Prodigy has one or more +1/+1 counters on it, you may remove a +1/+1 counter from it. If you do, draw a card.
Reach Modified creatures you control have trample. (Equipment, Auras you control, and counters are modifications.) Whenever a modified creature you control deals combat damage to a player, search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.
Kurbis, Harvest Celebrant enters the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the amount of mana spent to cast it. Remove a +1/+1 counter from Kurbis: Prevent all damage that would be dealt this turn to another target creature with a +1/+1 counter on it.
Protean Hydra enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. If damage would be dealt to Protean Hydra, prevent that damage and remove that many +1/+1 counters from it. Whenever a +1/+1 counter is removed from Protean Hydra, put two +1/+1 counters on it at the beginning of the next end step.
Whenever you cast a creature spell with mana value 5 or greater, that creature enters the battlefield with X additional +1/+1 counters on it, where X is its mana value minus 4. Creatures you control with three or more +1/+1 counters on them have haste. {T}: Add {G}.
Ravenous (This creature enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. If X is 5 or more, draw a card when it enters.) Defender Spore Chimney — When Sporocyst enters the battlefield, search your library for up to X basic land cards, put them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.
Enchantment
When Court of Garenbrig enters the battlefield, you become the monarch. At the beginning of your upkeep, distribute two +1/+1 counters among up to two target creatures. Then if you're the monarch, double the number of +1/+1 counters on each creature you control.
When Garruk's Uprising enters the battlefield, if you control a creature with power 4 or greater, draw a card. Creatures you control have trample. (They can deal excess combat damage to the player or planeswalker they're attacking.) Whenever a creature with power 4 or greater enters the battlefield under your control, draw a card.
Flash When Lost in the Maze enters the battlefield, tap X target creatures. Put a stun counter on each of those creatures you don't control. (If a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped, remove one from it instead.) Tapped creatures you control have hexproof.
Mana Bloom enters the battlefield with X charge counters on it. Remove a charge counter from Mana Bloom: Add one mana of any color. Activate only once each turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, if Mana Bloom has no charge counters on it, return it to its owner's hand.
Enchant creature {U}: Untap enchanted creature. {U}: Enchanted creature gains flying until end of turn. {U}: Enchanted creature gains shroud until end of turn. (It can't be the target of spells or abilities.) {1}: Enchanted creature gets +1/-1 or -1/+1 until end of turn.
Whenever you cast a permanent spell with a mana cost that contains {X}, double the value of X. Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell or activate an ability, if that spell's mana cost or that ability's activation cost contains {X}, copy that spell or ability. You may choose new targets for the copy.
Instant
Sacrifice a land. Search your library for up to two basic land cards, put them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle. If you control a creature with power 4 or greater, instead search your library for up to three basic land cards, put them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.
As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may exile any number of blue cards from your hand. This spell costs {2} less to cast for each card exiled this way. Up to X target creatures phase out. (While they're phased out, they're treated as though they don't exist. Each one phases in before its controller untaps during their next untap step.)
Land
Sorcery
Choose two — • Target player loses X life. • Return target creature card with mana value X or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. • Target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn. • Up to X target creatures gain fear until end of turn. (They can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or black creatures.)

Sideboard
Capricopian enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. {2}: Put a +1/+1 counter on Capricopian, then you may reselect which player Capricopian is attacking. Only the player Capricopian is attacking may activate this ability and only during the declare attackers step. (It can't attack its controller.)
Trample Ochre Jelly enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. Split — When Ochre Jelly dies, if it had two or more +1/+1 counters on it, create a token that's a copy of it at the beginning of the next end step. The token enters the battlefield with half that many +1/+1 counters on it, rounded down.
Maybeboard
X can't be 0. Target spell's controller exiles it with X delay counters on it. At the beginning of each of that player's upkeeps, if that card is exiled, remove a delay counter from it. If the card has no delay counters on it, the player puts it onto the stack as a copy of the original spell.
When you cast this spell, reveal the top X cards of your library. You may put a nonland permanent card with mana value X or less from among them onto the battlefield. Then shuffle the rest into your library. Genesis Hydra enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
Reveal the top X plus one cards of your library. Choose a creature card and/or a land card from among them. Put those cards into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order. If X is 5 or more, instead put the chosen cards onto the battlefield or into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
As Neverwinter Hydra enters the battlefield, roll X d6. It enters with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the total of those results. Trample Ward {4} (Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it unless that player pays {4}.)
Reach, trample Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, put X +1/+1 counters on it, where X is its power. Plot {3}{G} (You may pay {3}{G} and exile this card from your hand. Cast it as a sorcery on a later turn without paying its mana cost. Plot only as a sorcery.)
Proliferate, then choose any number of permanents you control that had a counter put on them this way. Those permanents phase out. (To proliferate, choose any number of permanents and/or players, then give each another counter of each kind already there. Treat phased-out permanents and anything attached to them as though they don't exist until their controller's next turn.)
Enchant creature When Venarian Gold enters the battlefield, tap enchanted creature and put X sleep counters on it. Enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step if it has a sleep counter on it. At the beginning of the upkeep of enchanted creature's controller, remove a sleep counter from that creature.
Whenever Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood enters the battlefield or attacks, put a flood counter on target land. That land is an Island in addition to its other types for as long as it has a flood counter on it. At the beginning of your end step, untap each permanent you control with a counter on it.

When Jadelight Spelunker enters the battlefield, it explores X times. (To have it explore, reveal the top card of your library. Put that card into your hand if it's a land. Otherwise, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature, then put the card back or put it into your graveyard.)
