Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"No Cap\n\nCaptain America protects me and my other Heroes while he has a shield counter. He does not grant himself hexproof. Damage or a destruction effect can consume the shield, and exile, sacrifice, bounce, or toughness reduction can remove him without respecting the shield's intended career path. The deck is built to preserve that protection while a team of useful creatures does the actual winning.\n\nI want an opener that casts Captain early and follows him with either draw or another useful Hero. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Mox Amber, Mind Stone, Pearl Medallion, and the cost reducers support that sequence. Mask of Memory, Buster Sword, Folk Hero, Tome of Legends, Pip-Boy, Trouble in Pairs, and the other draw pieces keep a mono-white creature deck from simply emptying its hand.\n\nThe shield and counter package creates staying power. Lae'zel increases qualifying counters being placed, The Ozolith preserves counters from creatures that leave, and Contractual Safeguard can distribute a counter type already present. I check each effect's exact scope rather than assuming every counter card manufactures another shield. Keeping Captain available also preserves the hexproof that makes the rest of the Heroes harder to pick apart.\n\nDrumbellower untaps creatures on each other player's untap step. That lets the team attack and still block, while also refreshing relevant tap abilities. Reconnaissance can remove an attacker from a bad combat or untap one during end of combat after damage. These cards make an active board more resilient; they do not require me to sit back indefinitely.\n\nAndúril rewards attacking legendary creatures with counters and can spread those counters more widely once the City's Blessing is active. Flowering of the White Tree, True Conviction, Mirror Entity, Chocobo Knights, and the evasion pieces turn the assembled team into a real clock. Concerted Effort shares only the abilities its text lists, not every ability on my best creature. Hyperion and the stronger individual Heroes provide pressure without making Captain the sole attacker.\n\nDamning Verdict can preserve creatures with counters while destroying others. Winds of Abandon and the smaller removal spells open combat; Akroma's Will can finish or protect, depending on the position. Dawn's Truce, Galadriel's Dismissal, and Teferi's Protection handle situations the shield cannot.\n\nThe failure mode is a durable board that politely refuses to end the game. Once the hand and protection are established, I need to spend resources on team damage and access. Surviving the next wipe is useful. Giving the table six chances to find it is optional.\n\n"}]}
