Aside from being able to take a couple hits, that extra life can be used for utility, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sign in Blood"}},{"insert":", to trigger abilities to make opponents lose life, to dispense some hate "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim"}},{"insert":", or to keep the battlefield and hand stocked "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Angelic Accord"}},{"insert":" "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Phyrexian Reclamation"}},{"insert":". \n\nI had two concerns as this deck was coming together, which are win conditions and getting the more powerful cards out of the deck with enough lands to play them. The win conditions for this deck are on the narrow side: Sucking life away, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Felidar Sovereign"}},{"insert":", and "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"maybe "},{"insert":"tacking the last few life away with a relatively larger flying creature. Both of which I tried to tackle via card draw and ramp. As it goes with black ramp, see "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Heartless Summoning"}},{"insert":", the deck might kill some of its' own creatures- Particularly the nonblack ones if the Evincar is around. However, the deck gets a hand from it's commander- hopefully turning low toughness creatures into 3 life pings. \n"}]}
