{"ops":[{"insert":"This deck is a mash-up that treats Final Fantasy as a plane within Magic’s Multiverse.\n\nPhyrexia has traveled to Final Fantasy to harness Cloud’s power, trapping him in an endless cycle of equipment, death, and painful reconstruction. Cloud is neither a Phyrexian nor a commander designed to lead them, but his ability to tutor Equipment provides the machinery that builds their army.\n\nCloud gets Skullclamped. Cloud goes to the bin. Skullclamp triggers twice, drawing four cards. Cloud is then reanimated, tutors another Equipment, and the process starts all over again.\n\nBecause Cloud always provides access to Skullclamp, the deck can establish its main engine consistently. Helping Hand, Phoenix Down, Dewdrop Cure, Brought Back, and Sevinne’s Reclamation repeatedly pull him from the graveyard, while blink effects exploit his entrance before the execution begins. Elesh Norn makes every stage of the experiment even more productive.\n\nThe engine generates substantial card advantage and fills the hand as quickly as possible. Psychosis Crawler can turn that stream of cards into damage, but the deck is not dependent on a single route to victory.\n\nPhyrexian Splicers, Mites, Incubators, and living weapons provide a growing supply of bodies. The deck can go wide through repeated token production or go tall by concentrating counters and Equipment on one threat. Small bodies can be fed to Skullclamp or Ashnod’s Altar, while Golems and Germs carry the heavier weapons into combat.\n\nLiving weapon is the bridge between Cloud and the chosen creature type. Cloud can tutor Bitterthorn, Nettlecyst, or Scytheclaw, each of which enters with its own Phyrexian Germ. Masterwork of Ingenuity and Sculpting Steel can copy these weapons and generate additional Germs. Cloud does not mention Phyrexians, but every new weapon can become another body for their army.\n\nThe Equipment package also acts as a toolbox. Bitterthorn and Sword of the Animist develop mana, Lightning Greaves protects essential creatures, Nettlecyst creates a large attacker, and Scytheclaw turns an unblocked Cloud into a brutal life-total calculation. Sword of Hearth and Home combines ramp with additional entrances for Cloud and the Splicers.\n\nMana production is reinforced by sacrificed tokens, Equipment-based land searches, and Inspiring Statuary, which converts unused artifacts into mana for the deck’s largest spells. Drawing cards is only useful if the machine can generate enough mana to cast them.\n\nFrom there, the invasion can take several forms. Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut converts the smallest creatures into a threatening mechanical army, while Eldrazi Monument marks the moment when the experiment becomes an assault, giving the completed army flight and indestructibility. Norn’s Choirmaster turns every entrance or attack by Cloud into proliferation, advancing Incubators, poison counters, and the Eternity Elevator.\n\nMaskwood Nexus represents the final stage of compleation. It makes Cloud and every other creature into Phyrexians and Golems. Cloud’s repeated returns can then trigger Darksteel Splicer, producing another wave of indestructible Phyrexian Golems each time the experiment is reconstructed.\n\nThe deck should be piloted as an adaptable machine rather than a linear combo. Draw first, identify which pieces have arrived, then decide whether Cloud must die again, the factory must expand, or the experiment is finally ready to attack.\n\n"}]}
