{"ops":[{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Polyverse Portfolio"},{"insert":"\n This is my first Commander and deck that I've continually updated over the years. The Polyverse Portfolio is a high-power Bant midrange deck built around Perrie, the Pulverizer, combining counter diversity, pillow-fort defenses, tutoring, control, and multiple alternate win conditions.\n Operating under the strict legal banner of New Capenna's Brokers, the deck treats the Multiverse as one enormous investment portfolio. Every permanent is an asset, every counter is a potential source of equity, and Perrie serves as the firm's chief executive—and final collection agent. \n\n The Core Strategy\n Perrie rewards the deck for accumulating different kinds of counters across its permanents. Rather than relying exclusively on +1/+1 counters, the Portfolio deliberately distributes a wide variety of counters (21 different types) throughout the board:\n +1/+1, flying, deathtouch, shield, first strike, hexproof, lifelink, menace, reach, trample, vigilance, age, delay, page, slumber, storage, mining, charge, loyalty, and more.\n This gives the deck an unusual form of scaling: cards that would normally serve completely different purposes can simultaneously contribute to Perrie's combat damage.\n The result is a deck where the mana base, pillow-fort pieces, planeswalkers, artifacts, and utility permanents can all become part of the same offensive engine.\n\n Defensive Infrastructure\n The Portfolio is intentionally difficult to attack.\n Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Collective Restraint, Windborn Muse, Elephant Grass, Sphere of Safety, and Delaying Shield create a layered pillow-fort that forces opponents to continually evaluate whether attacking is worth the cost.\n The goal isn't simply to prevent combat. It's to buy time.\n While opposing creatures are waiting for their attack requests to be approved, the Portfolio continues developing its board, accumulating counters, tutoring for missing assets, and preparing Perrie for the eventual hostile takeover.\n Please submit your attack request to the appropriate department and allow 3–5 business days for processing.\n\n Counter-Proliferation\n The deck deliberately keeps its proliferate package small.\n Flux Channeler provides repeatable proliferation as the Portfolio conducts its normal business, while Expansion Algorithm serves as the explosive investment opportunity—potentially proliferating the board multiple times when a large mana investment is available.\n These cards aren't the primary strategy. They're multipliers for an already-developed counter portfolio.\n\n Primary Win Condition: Perrie Voltron\n The Portfolio's primary method of closing the game is turning Perrie into a lethal commander-damage threat.\n Once enough unique counters have accumulated across the battlefield, Perrie's combat trigger can convert that diversity into a massive power boost and trample, allowing him to punch through defenses and eliminate opponents through commander damage.\n The deck therefore doesn't need to put every counter on Perrie. The entire battlefield can contribute to his final valuation.\n\n Alternate Win Conditions\n The Portfolio isn't dependent on Perrie surviving forever.\n Grafted Exoskeleton provides an alternate path through poison damage, allowing a sufficiently large attacker to threaten a completely different form of victory.\n Body of Research provides another route by creating a massive Fractal token whose power and toughness scale with the number of cards in the library. This gives the deck a \"go-tall\" option that can end the game without relying entirely on Perrie's combat trigger.\n The deck can therefore transition between:\n • Perrie Voltron\n • Poison\n • Massive Fractal / go-tall combat\n • Counter accumulation and proliferate\n • Traditional creature combat\n\n Tutoring & Consistency\n The deck runs a substantial tutoring package to compensate for its relatively small number of dedicated draw engines.\n Rather than searching for a single deterministic combo, the tutors function as portfolio managers, finding whichever asset is currently needed:\n • a defensive piece when under pressure,\n • a counter source when Perrie needs additional diversity,\n • a payoff when the board is established,\n • or an answer to an opposing threat.\n This gives the deck considerable flexibility without forcing it into a single linear game plan.\n\n The Philosophy\n Polyverse Portfolio is deliberately not a conventional Voltron deck, traditional control deck, or dedicated proliferate deck.\n It is a counter-toolbox midrange deck that uses those strategies as different departments of the same corporation.\n The deck's greatest strength is that its pieces frequently perform multiple jobs:\n Pillow fort buys time.\n Unique counters increase Perrie's eventual power.\n Utility permanents become counter assets.\n Tutors find whatever department is currently needed.\n Proliferate compounds existing investments.\n Perrie converts the portfolio into lethal combat damage.\n Alternate win conditions ensure the corporation remains solvent even when the primary strategy is disrupted.\n The end result is a slower, highly synergistic Optimized deck that prioritizes resilience, flexibility, and an unusual win pattern over raw speed.\n After all, the Portfolio doesn't need to win the market immediately.\n It only needs to make sure that when the books are finally audited... Perrie is the one who owns the majority market share.\n"}]}
Perrie, the Pulverizer
When Perrie enters, put a shield counter on target creature. (If it would be dealt damage or destroyed, remove a shield counter from it instead.)
Whenever Perrie attacks, target creature you control gains trample and gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of different kinds of counters among permanents you control.
