Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"I have a very mad scientist way of creating my decks so for your viewing pleasure it may be easier to change the sorting method of the deck from \"Categories\" to \"Types\" and it will be arranged in a more traditional sorting allotment for a decklist. Every card alongside the many, many right side tabs are all considered maybeboard or sideboard cards that I have gone back and forth on at some point in time, some for literally just 5 seconds but I like to keep them there just in case one day I want to try something new again. \n\nThis was my second EDH deck I ever made after Kiki Jiki. Made to be much more toned down in power and for fun games.\n\nThis deck was originally created with the starter deck and various cards that I happened to own. Will upgrade in the future but this is my second EDH deck and meant to be more casual my primary is Kiki Jiki and much higher in power level. After dismantling Kiki-Jiki and getting to learn more about \"regular\" EDH I have tuned this deck over time to become something that I feel comfortable using, while also encompassing a ton of parts of Magic the Gathering that I love. Pieces of this deck included are from cards I opened when I first started playing or some are even from the large period of the Modern format I used to heavily play before quarantine hit. This deck is curated with a very specific design so if it doesn't necessarily look like the most optimal Edgar list it's for that reason. I've really, really wanted to play another Tempo deck since Cruise got banned and Death's Shadow basically died but upon all the research I've done about commander the one common sentiment people echoed was that Tempo is not really a thing in this format, so I decided to create the closest thing to a tempo deck that I could. This deck has become my baby, and is now even triple sleeved because of what it means to me. I enjoy playing this deck the most but I also realize that this deck is too special to ever take to any public place and is really only played with and against friends.\n\nJune 2022 Update: While still not as insane as Kiki-Jiki, the nature of the commander + my upgrades has put the power level of this deck around a 7 or 8 out of 10 which is still pretty insane for a casual deck.\n\nJune 2023 Update: As I have kept upgrading and fine tuning this deck it's slowly strayed away from the \"casual\" label but it's also not quite true \"high power\" territory due to the lack of tutors and fast mana (deck at one point had Diabolic Intent but I cut it). Nonetheless it's still a very strong deck and might even be too strong for certain groups/pods. Built much slower than the typical Edgar deck, I sacrifice speed for endurance in both the form of higher quality creatures and more card advantage (arguably too much) to help prevent us from running out of gas. The result is a deck that plays a lot closer to a midrange or even a tempo deck sans-counterspells and honestly I love it. I played a lot of Patrick Chapin Grixis control and Grixis Shadow in modern so this deck feels a tad similar to those decks and I feel at home playing it. This deck has become my go-to pet deck in the EDH format because of how enjoyable it's been to play for me but I understand that this deck might also be too powerful for some places so I've been in the process of trying to look for a new commander that's fun and roughly a 5-6 in power level for those that want to play with something a little more casual. I thought that would be Aesi so I built landfall, however I completely underestimated the power of it and it's arguably stronger than this deck simply because it has blue.\n\nWill post updates in this column to log the progress and change of the deck over time:\n\n12/25/20 CHRISTMAS POG\nSomehow my original draft has 113 card lmao not sure how this happened but here are my cuts:\n\n[[Foreboding Ruins]]\n[[Liliana, the Last Hope]]\n[[Gilded Lotus]]\n[[Licia, Sanguine Tribune]]\n[[Blood Seeker]]\n[[Black Market]]\n[[Damnable Pact]]\n[[Kindred Boon]]\n[[Intangible Virtue]]\n[[Blood Tribute]]\n[[Underworld Connections]]\n[[Mortify]]\n[[Skullclamp]]\n\n2/28/21\nRemoved:\n[[Tithe Drinker]]\n[[Vindictive Vampire]]\n[[Fell the Mighty]]\n[[Quag Vampires]]\n[[Rakdos Locket]]\n\nAdded the following cards:\n[[Read the Bones]]\n[[Night's Whisper]]\n[[Skullclamp]]\n[[Swords to Plowshares]]\n[[Bedevil]]\n\n3/3/21\nRemoved the following cards:\n[[Debt to the Deathless]]\n[[Return to Dust]]\n[[Gideon, Ally of Zendikar]]\n[[Boros Guildgate]]\n[[Cinder Barrens]]\n[[Stone Quarry]]\n[[Urborg Volcano]]\n[[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]]\n[[Asylum Visitor]]\n[[Butcher of Malakir]]\n[[Bishop of Binding]]\n[[Driver of the Dead]]\n[[Orzhov Cluestone]]\n[[Orzhov Locket]]\n[[Kheru Mind-Eater]]\n[[Pitiless Pontiff]]\n[[Pawn of Ulamog]]\n[[Skeletal Vampire]]\n[[Vein Drinker]]\n[[Vampire Hexmage]]\n[[Mathas, Fiend Seeker]]\n[[Spear of Heliod]]\n[[Blood Baron of Vizkopa]]\n[[Liliana Vess]]\n[[Bloodhusk Ritualist]]\n\nAdded the following cards:\n[[Ancient Craving]]\n[[Bishop of Rebirth]]\n[[Cordial Vampire]]\n[[Cruel Celebrant]]\n[[Drana, Liberator of Malakir]]\n[[Drana, the Last Bloodchief]]\n[[Forerunner of the Legion]]\n[[Indulgent Aristocrat]]\n[[Legion Lieutenant]]\n[[Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle]]\n[[Minions' Murmurs]]\n[[Mirror Entity]]\n[[Nullpriest of Oblivion]]\n[[Sanctum Seeker]]\n[[Savai Triome]]\n[[Shared Animosity]]\n[[Utter End]]\n[[Viscera Seer]]\n[[Alpine Meadow]]\n[[Sulfurous Mire]]\n[[Snowfield Sinkhole]]\n[[Thirsting Bloodlord]]\n[[Immersturm Predator]]\n[[Vicious Conquistador]]\n\n3/28/21\nAdded\n[[Shadow Alley Denizen]]\n[[Return to Dust]]\n[[Kindred Charge]]\n[[Vanquisher's Banner]]\n[[Coat of Arms]]\n\nRemoved:\n[[Cast Out]]\n[[Bishop of Rebirth]]\n[[Vicious Conquistador]]\n[[Unbreakable Formation]]\n[[Swords to Plowshares]]\n[[Swamp]]\n\n4/23/21\nRemoved \n[[Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief]]\n[[Bloodlord of Vaasgoth]]\n[[Syphon Mind]]\n\nAdded:\n[[Dusk Legion Zealot]]\n[[Pact of the Serpent]]\n[[Nighthawk Scavenger]]\n\n5/2/21\nAdded:\n[[Bloodghast]]\n[[Callous Bloodmage]]\n[[City of Brass]]\n[[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth ]]\n[[Veinwitch Coven]]\n[[Stinging Study]]\n[[Fracture]]\n\nRemoved:\n[[Rakdos Carnarium]]\n[[Orzhov Basilica]]\n[[Forerunner of the Legion]]\n[[Night's Whisper]]\n[[Sangromancer]]\n[[Return to Dust]]\n\n5/X/21\nAdded: \n[[Boros Signet]]\n[[Legion's Landing]]\n[[Dragonskull Summit]]\n[[Spectator Seating]]\n[[Vault of Champions]]\n[[Orzhov Guildgate]]\n[[Isolated Chapel]]\n[[Brightclimb Pathway]]\n[[Adaptive Automaton]]\n[[Dark Impostor]]\n[[Blightstep Pathway]]\n[[Brightclimb Pathway]]\n[[Talisman of Hierarchy]]\n[[Veinwitch Coven]]\n[[Caves of Koilos]]\n\nRemoved: \n[[Mardu Banner]]\n[[Akoum Refuge]]\n[[Forsaken Sanctuary]]\n[[Bloodfell Caves]]\n[[Dark Impostor]]\n[[Caves of Koilos]]\n[[Bloodghast]]\n[[Stromkirk Noble]]\n[[Nomad Outpost]]\n[[Chromatic Lantern]]\n[[Sangromancer]]\n\n6/12/21\nAdded\n[[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]]\n[[Exquisite Blood]]\n[[Patriarch's Bidding]]\n\nRemoved\n[[Assemble the Legion]]\n[[Fracture]]\n[[Veinwitch Coven]]\n\n\n7/1/21\nAdded\n[[Bloodline Keeper]]\n[[Anguished Unmaking]]\n[[Vindicate]]\n\nRemoved\n[[Bedevil]]\n[[Rakish Heir]]\n[[Read the Bones]]\n\nFuture list of possible upgrades:\n[[Legion's Landing]]\n[[Coat of Arms]]\n[[Patriarch's Bidding]]\n[[Vindicate]]\n[[Metallic Mimic]]\n[[Nighthawk Scavenger]]\n[[Bloodline Keeper]]\n[[Shadow Alley Denizen]]\n[[Mercadia's Downfall]]\n[[Gifted Aetherborn]]\n\n\nNeed to update manabase with\n~~[[Caves of Koilos]]~~\n~~[[Vault of Champions]]~~\n~~[[Dragonskull Summit]]~~\n~~[[Isolated Chapel]]~~\n~~[[Brightclimb Pathway]]~~\n~~[[Blightstep Pathway]]~~\n[[Tainted Peak]]\n[[Tainted Field]]\n[[Graven Cairns]]\nand Swamps\n\nFor non-budget updgrades\n[[Patriarch's Bidding]] for [[Assemble the Legion]]\n[[Anguished Unmaking]] for [[Bedevil]]\n[[Vindicate]] for [[Fracture]]\n[[Bloodline Keeper]]\n[[Twilight Prophet]]\n[[Herald's Horn]]\n[[Icon of Ancestry]]\n[[Obelisk of Urd]]\n[[Anointed Procession]]\n[[Phyrexian Arena]]\n\nQuestionable cards:\n[[Dark Impostor]]\n[[Rakish Heir]]\n[[Skullclamp]]\n\n11/11/21\n[[Kindred Charge]] for [[Akroma's Will]]\n\n12/17/21\nAfter much deliberation I have finally decided to take out\n[[Utter End]] for [[Swords to Plowshares]]\nI'd say around 90-95% of th etime it's hitting a creature since usually those threaten to end the game and are what I use it to stop. But in the other scenarios where I need to remove a pesky artifact or enchantment the deck still has Anguished Unmaking and Vindicate as well as Merciless Eviction as a get out of jail free card. There's still a chance Path may end up in the deck as well but we also have Winds of Abandon which is by far one of the best cards in the deck.\n\n12/25/21\nTHE DECK'S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY POGGERS\n\nIn this update we have the ultimate haul. \nRemoving\n[[Sulfurous Mire]]\n[[Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle]]\n[[Diabolic Tutor]]\n[[Callous Bloodmage]]\n\nTo Add\n[[Voldaren Estate]]\n[[Cathars' Crusade]]\n[[Welcoming Vampire]]\n[[Edgar, Charmed Groom]]\n\n2/5/22\nMy birthday Pog but not really on my birthday\n\nRemoved\n[[Commander's Sphere]]\n\nFor\n[[Fellwar Stone]]\nA talisman might be better but the Red Black Talisman is expensive, possibly the RW one someday\n\n3/11/22\nRemoved [[Blightstep Pathway]]\n\nTo Add\n[[Bojuka Bog]]\n\nAlso currently going to proxy [[Ruinous Ultimatum]] for [[Merciless Eviction]]\n\nAlso considering replacing the other [[Brightclimb Pathway]]\nfor [[Takenuma,Abandoned Mire]] or [[Shattered Sanctum]]\n\nIt was [[Alpine Meadow]]\n\n6/12/22\n\nPossibly considering changing the deckbuilding philosophy to go even slower and more midrange, but as a result may need to up the ramp + land count, this will be up for debate later.\n\nAs of right now we have made the following changes since last time.\n\nAt some point a land was replaced with [[Bojuka Bog]] as an additional utility way to deal with GY synergies since most EDH decks have them.\n\n[[Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire]] was added but quickly taken back out for [[Blightstep Pathway]]\nThis deck is around 75% black so sole black sources of mana are much better than white ones, however this may be in consideration someday as more of a DFC spell slot that can double as a land rather than a land first. This was a mistake on my part. Even so, I would prioritize Agadeem's and Cantrip lands first over Eiganjo due to it being effectively a plains.\n\n[[Minions' Murmurs]] has been taken out because it is the worst of the draw effects in the deck, albeit possibly between it and [[Skullclamp]] but clamp has more potential to get out of mana screw situations. [[Brightclimb Pathway]] is the currently the 35th much needed land added to the deck to help flow with the high curve. It's possible a cantrip land would be better such as [[Sunbaked Canyon]] but if we're adding more lands to the deck then generally the goal is we want to keep them rather than get rid of them. Also if adding a 36th and up land Eiganjo might be good to throw in again more as a \"spell\" slot that can also randomly double as a land but we would need to experiment with this further down the line.\n\n[[Vanquisher's Banner]] for [[Court of Ambition]] \nUnsure if this is the correct move but Vanquisher's is rather slow for the deck, much like [[Annointed Procession]] would be. Even though the curve is higher than the average Edgar deck the curve is still around 3 so both cards are still to slow to capitalize on the gains that it would bring. Court was added as a means of still adding value via both Monarch and the enchantment itself but it may prove to become too toxic one day. I would much rather replace this slot with [[Crossway Troublemakers]] [[Iroas, God of Victory]] or [[Dolmen Gate]] barring price on the last 2. Also in considering for more midrange is [[Twlight Prophet]] and [[Purphuros, God of the Forge]] for extra value.\n\nJust like Bojuka Bog, [[Callous Bloodmage]] was also added back in for [[Dark Impostor]] as another way of adding some GY hate back into the deck. Took out Bloodmage originally because it was always just a 3 mana [[Dusk Legion Zealot]] and felt it wasn't worth but I think the utility may just be worth keeping it in anyway. Dark Impostor's rate's for removal are horrible and if I ever am using the ability that's a pretty bad sign of where I am in the game. Will add more removal if I ever need that instead.\n\n[[Olivia, Crimson Bride]] was added to replace [[Bloodline Necromancer]]. It's a lot easier for Olivia to attack and any legendary creatures she revives will live forever. Seen mostly as an upgrade, though sometimes Olivia can die and we will lose all our creatures.\n\n[[Crackling Doom]] for [[Damn]]\nCrackling Doom may have been apart of the deck for much longer than the average Edgar deck due to the precon effect, but the card was not bad at all. It's still a 2-3 for 1 and can also ding for some extra damage. However while it was nice, it wasn't spectacular or anything for the amount of mana required. Instead I am opting for Damn which can function as a spot removal spell when ahead or as a field wipe when behind. Part of my hesitation to cut Crackling Doom was the fact that it is one of the few ways to remove hexproof creatures, albeit consistent. Damn still has the potential to do a similar thing on a different scale so I will be testing it for now to see if I like it or hate it. \n\n[[Twilight Prophet]] and [[Crossway Troublemakers]] will currently be proxied in the deck as ways to add some extra value and help punch through board stalls, which are becoming a frequent issue. More than likely [[Callous Bloodmage]] will be recut as well as one of either [[Adaptive Automaton]] or [[Thirsting Bloodlord]]\n\n[[Dark Prophecy]] for [[Ancient Craving]] is also being considered as a way to further stretch some value.\n\n[[Grave Pact]] and [[Dictate of Erebos]] are also being considered as cards to help break said board stalls, but may prove to be too much and too toxic. \n[[Cover of Darkness]] would also be fantastic for this, but the card is a bit pricey and could be reprinted at any point so it's better to proxy/wait.\n\nThe only cards I really want to add are ones that help push through damage and better, more consistent lands. And possibly utility like [[Sunbaked Canyon]]\n\nPROXY COUNT as of June 2022\n[[Talisman of Indulgence]] for [[Fellwar Stone]]\n[[Ruinous Ultimatum]] for [[Merciless Eviction]]\n\nAlso as of June 2022 the average Edgar Markov deck has 34 lands and 5-ish pieces of ramp (unsure if Herald's Horn counts) and my build has 35 lands and 7 pieces of ramp. Still trying to decide if I want to go up to 36 lands and 8 ramp pieces but that may need to be determined later. I think the best middle ground would be a spell utility land such as a Sunbaked Canyon, Eiganjo or Agadeem's Awakening. At a mana curve of 3.26 I do think that I may want to add an 8th ramp source however I do like the 35 lands, possibly we add something like Ashnod's Altar that can help accelerate some of the bigger boys into the late game.\n\nAs of December 2022 both of these cards have been acquired and swapped.\n\n12/17/22\nRemoved [[Court of Ambition]] for [[Bloodvial Purveyor]] (Bloodvial Purveyor was instantly cut afterwards lol)\n[[Blightstep Pathway]] for [[Luxury Suite]]\n[[Callous Bloodmage]] for [[Crossway Troublemakers]]\n[[Damn]] for [[Path to Exile]] since I mainly used it as spot removal.\n[[Adaptive Automaton]] for [[Commander's Sphere]] which was them promptly swapped for a [[Sign in Blood]] (May become Ashnod's Altar at some point.)\n[[Bloodvial Purveyor]] for [[Read the Bones]]\n[[Thirsting Bloodlord]] for [[Night's Whisper]]\n\n2/27/22\nRemoved [[Falkenrath Noble]] for [[Verrak, Warped Sengir]]\n[[Legion's Landing]] for [[Tomb Fortress]], this may end up becoming another ramp spell if I get flooded too much.\n\n2023 Update: \nIn the process of testing some new cards that have released or are just too expensive at this point in time and put them in a special column, these are all proxies so that I can be a smart magic player and not buy loads of cards and then immediately cut 5 of them because they didn't work with what I was trying to do. \n\nSince my deck is a significantly higher curve than the average Edgar deck I'm wondering if I need to add another land + ramp spell or 2 (35 land, 7 ramp spells atm) to help the deck gel a bit better. Also considering cutting the Artistocrats because I don't really enjoy the feel of playing an aristocrats deck but they're still probably necessary because this deck loses a metric ton of life from the lands, draw spells and just the fact that you almost always have a target on your head as an Edgar player. Toying with some enchantments like [[Cover of Darkness]] and [[Iroas, God of Victory]] to help more consistently remove the awkwardness of board stall games that get gummed up and really awkward as everyone is afraid to attack. Will also consider more cards with evasion and prioritize them over the land creatures so that we can help alleviate against board said board stalls.\n\n7/4/2023\n\nAt this point the deck has become extremely tuned for the type of deck that I love to play, very tempo-esuqe. There's only a few cards that I would even consider cutting these days for other cards but even then those are looser upgrades if anything. In the latest haul here is what I have swapped with the deck.\n\nRemoved\n[[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]]\n[[Anowon, the Ruin Sage]]\n[[Olivia, Crimson Bride]]\n[[Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet]]\n[[Diabolic Intent]]\n[[Read the Bones]]\n[[Tomb Fortress]]\n[[Clifftop Retreat]]\n[[Brightclimb Pathway]]\n[[Voldaren Estate]]\n\nAdded\n[[Yahenni, Undying Partisan]]\n[[Creeping Bloodsucker]]\n[[Henrika Domnathi]]\n[[Olivia's Wrath]]\n[[Markov Baron]]\n[[Phyrexian Arena]]\n[[Sulfurous Springs]]\n[[Ruinous Ultimatum]] - Previously proxied\n[[Talisman of Indulgence]] - previously proxied\n[[Mirror Entity]] and [[Indulgent Aristocrat]] added back\n\nProxies for Testing\n[[Minas Tirith]]\n[[Twlight Prophet]]\n[[Cover of Darkness]]\n\nThe half of Vito - Blood combo was removed because this deck doesn't have enough lifegain to reliably re-trigger Vito enough and I don't run enough tutors to ever get the combo online anyway so I just removed it for now. Because of that the deck has gone more all in on draw spells to recoup the losses from board wipes, and it allows us to be more midrangey and tempo-esque because our hand has a full grip a lot of the time. There is a chance that I may need to add another ramp spell as well but that would need to be tested. Also may want to add another anti board wipe card such as [[Boros Charm]] and [[And they shall know no fear]] but that remains to be seen. Yahenni is more resilient to removal and the other creatures were added to help buffer with the extreme life loss issues from mana, draw spells and just being a target in general. I have found games can often get into awkward board stall positions so because of this I have gone more into the pierce the barrier method adding one sided wrath effects from [[Ruinous Ultimatum]], [[Olivia's Wrath]] and [[Winds of Abandon]] the latter which was in the deck from the start. [[Cover of Darkness]] is a 4th card to add to this mix. Ultimately cards that hope to finish the game before games become too awkward like the Spiderman point meme.\n\n[[Twilight Prophet]] is there for extra card advantage + life gain but may prove to be too slow hence it being tested. \n\n[[Minas Tirith]] is also being tested as a utility land that can also draw some cards which is always nice for extra CA, however mono white and red lands are not ideal in this deck as there's around less than 10 white and red cards in this list alone so it may end up being cut later for a dual land but we will have to see. [[Sulfurous Springs]] was added in as an additional way to guarantee multiple colors of mana vs something like [[Voldaren Estate]] that can only cast 1/3 of the spells in the deck.\n\n1/23/24\nWoah long time no official update. Honestly I've been swappng so much stuff in and out that it's been hard to really keep up with what I've taken in and out but the main thing is that as my curve has been growing I've wanted to find more ways to add mana to the deck so I've currently added back [[Legion's Landing]] to take over the ramp slot. There's still good odds it's not enough but I will lok to add more. The new Ixalan additions have added more engine/payoff pieces so I've decided to cut down on some of the draw spells and heavier cost creatures to add some more leaner creatures into this list. Oh and I have a [[Kindred Dominance]] now so that's also gone in. One sided board wipes are essential for this deck because far too often games will come to weird board stalls where everyone draw-gos and so they're added as ways to close out games. \n\nRemoved\n[[Cover of Darkness]]\n[[Dusk Legion Zealot]]\n[[Henrika Domnathi]]\n[[Mirror Entity]]\n[[Night's Whisper]]\n[[Sign in Blood]]\n[[Olivia Voldaren]]\n[[Shadow Alley Denizen]]\n[[Yahenni, Undying Partisan]]\n[[Nullpriest of Oblivion]]\n\nAdded\n[[Cavern of Souls]] - was lucky enough to open one in one set booster I bought!\n[[Clavileno, First of the Blessed]]\n[[Kindred Dominance]]\n[[Legion's Landing]]\n[[Master of Dark Rites]]\n[[Order of Sacred Dusk]]\n[[Voldaren Bloodcaster]]\n[[Drana and Linvala]]\n\nProxy/Testing\n[[Bloodletter of Aclazotz]]\n[[Charismatic Conqueror]]\n\n2/24/24\nStill on the fence and not quite sure about\n[[Minas Tirith]]\n[[Master of Dark Rites]]\n[[Taunt from the Rampart]]\n[[Voldaren Bloodcaster]]\n[[Minas Tirith]]\n[[Boros Signet]] - Going to try cutting a ramp spell for more lands to see if that helps the deck run cleaner.\n\nCurrently replacing with \n[[Haunted Ridge]]\n[[Night's Whisper]]\n[[Winds of Abandon]]\n[[Henrika Domnathi]]\n[[Takenuma, the Abandoned Mire]]\n[[Voldaren Estate]]\n\nTaunt from the Rampart also spiked and is no longer 2 dollars so that is partially on me for not getting one to even test it.\n\n2/29/24\nLead Day special! I opened one of those play pack things of Markov Manor and got a Warleader's Call and a Shadowy Backstreet among some other goodies. Not sure what I'm cutting to slot in Warleader's Call but the \n\n[[Shadowy Backstreet]] for [[Sunlit Marsh]] is an easy swap.\n\nAfter doing some more thinking I’ve come to realize that the aristocracts shell works a lot better in pure aggro and dedicated aristocrats shells. I’ve been low on these for a while since they’re really only good against sweepers for me or cards like Glacial Chasm so maybe for that reason I should keep them in but I feel like I would rather include cards that can further my game plan vs having cards for more niche sce’narios. I could see these coning back in someday though.\n\n3/5/24\nAfter consulting some other lists to see what direction other Edgar players are taking the deck, I came across LordSnowDragon's primer. (https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Vv7rGWqkHkaAa8U5o0H1qQ/primer) Even though he labels his version as an aggro deck I noticed a lot of parallels between our decks, I just mainly think the difference is he prefers to have a much lower to the ground curve coming at the cost of extra fuel and flying creatures to help finish the endgame when the board gets gummed up. But I did notice that he has a very different deckbuilding philosphy that so far I have not seen anywhere else in that he has has Sol Ring as his only ramp spell and 40 lands. Something that I've been very on the fence for a while was how do I fit in more lands but I never thought about cutting a couple ramp spells to do so. I still believe for my slower version of the deck having some ramp is necessary, but I appreciate him for giving me the confidence to cut a couple mana rocks to hit that 37 land count I've been aiming for. So because of this I'm going to try a more drastic series of swaps to see if the deck behaves a tad smoother, closer to how his deck is built except more geared for the endgame when all players have a million ground blockers and no one can attack because nothing can get through. This is why I added so many fliers and one sided board wipes to my list, I hate that scenario and so I am willing to sacrifice some early game speed if it means that my ability to finish games becomes a lot cleaner.\n\nRemoved\n[[Boros Signet]]\n[[Talisman of Indulgence]]\n[[Drana and Linvala]]\n[[Viscera Seer]]\n[[Skullclamp]]\n[[Patriarch's Bidding]]\n[[Exquisite Blood]]\n[[Clavaileno, First of the Blessed]]\n[[Bojuka Bog]]\n[[Sign in Blood]]\n[[Night's Whisper]]\n[[Ancient Craving]]\n\nAdded\n[[Voldaren Estate]]\n[[Castle Lochthwain]]\n[[Minas Tirith]]\n[[Changeling Outcast]]\n[[Shadow Alley Denizen]]\n[[Cruel Celebrant]]\n[[Blood Artist]]\n[[Akroma's Will]]\n[[Olivia's Bloodsworn]]\n[[Read the Bones]]\n[[Ambition's Cost]]\n[[Necropotence]]\n\n3/27/24\nWith Outlaws of Thunder Junction spoiler season underway we have 2 candidates to slot into the deck. \nRemoved\n[[Read the Bones]]\n[[Creeping Bloodsucker]]\nAdded\n[[Insatiable Avarice]]\n[[Ruthless Lawbringer]]\n\n4/20/25\nOverhaul time again\n\nRemoved\n[[Dragonskull Summit]]\n[[Rakdos Signet]]\n[[Night's Whisper]]\n[[Orzhov Signet]]\n[[Soul Shatter]]\n[[Patron of the Vein]]\n[[Dusk Legion Sergeant]]\n[[Door of Destinies]]\n[[Crossway Troublemaker]]\n[[Henrika Domnathi]]\nBasic Mountain\n\nAdded\n[[Agadeem's Awakening]]\n[[Fell the Profane]]\n[[Qarsi Revenant]]\n[[The One Ring]]\n[[Trouble in Pairs]]\n[[Cover of Darkness]]\n[[Duskbourne Skymarcher]]\n[[Gifted Aetherborn]]\n[[Banner of Kinship]]\n[[Sundering Eruption]]\n[[Shattered Sanctum]]\n\nNote: I've wanted to cut the basic mountain for a while because it's easily the worst draw in the entire deck. My version of this deck only has 6 red cards and one of those is Edgar Markov that will never be cast in 99% of games anyways. Maybe it's a mistake but if I really feel I need it I can always add it back later. I would much rather just add more Basic Swamps if I feel that I need more basics anyways since those are significantly better for this build.\n\n"}]}
