{"ops":[{"insert":"This build is trying to do two things:\n\n1 - Get Max Speed ASAP (turn 4 or 5) - You want to be playing aggressively right off the bat while everyone else is playing lands and/or ramping\n2 - Weaponize massive wheel effects - Being able to double the amount we draw from wheels can lead to some ridiculous plays. \n\nBrewing this deck has been a fun challenge because it actually requires an early game that plays like mono blue tempo or else it would be so slow that if you can't go off in one turn you've lost. This has lead to some interesting card choices:\n\n1 - Small and evasive creatures that do something later - We want to hit max speed and unlike red or black, it's REALLY hard to do in mono blue. With Vnwxt, you either need to invest in getting out some big flyers and/or tramplers praying you make it another 3 rounds OR you invest in small, evasive creatures that do good things after you've hit max speed (e.g. card draw/selection, clone on demand, etc). In other words, weenies that you don't mind playing in round 5-6 because you'll still get value from a tiny body.\n2 - Other ways to Start your engines! (SYE) - Ideally, you don't want to have to cast your commander to start your engines. Any source of SYE for less than 3 mana cost are worth considering in this strat which is why you may see some cards who's inclusion seems questionable. As long as SYE sources are on a land or have value beyond just starting your engines, they feel VERY good to have in your opening hand. Keeping your commander at 2 mana on the round you want to start going ham with draw feels VERY good.\n3 - Other ways to gain speed. In case you're getting board wiped or targeted, man lands are the plan (cryptolith fragment would be solid too but has been cut). There are a few other colorless artifacts that can do targeted damage but they don't add much value after you hit max speed which is why they're not included. This is the area that could see a lot of improvement in the future. Scrawling crawler kinda of falls into this category as it's free speed every round it starts in play.\n4 - Defense - Our main options for this are our creatures that get bigger as we draw cards, propaganda, and chump blocking with weenies after max speed. Oneirophage and Cliquant Skymage both can get huge and can be an evasive wincon if necessary late game but serve as darn good roadblocks.\n5 - Wincons - This boils down to cards that say YOU WIN when you draw your last card, both of the crawlers, and Aether Syphon. \n6 - Massive draw - Seagate Restoration and Windfall can draw you crazy amounts of cards with your commander in play. Psychosis Crawler and Aether Syphon can be one turn kills with either of those cards. Teferi's puzzle box pairs well with both crawlers but if it's in play, you have to be working towards a win condition or else you'll end up drawing your whole deck if you're not careful by essentially doubling your cards in hand every round\n7 - Other wheels - Since every wheel typically draws you 14 but can get up to 28 cards (Teferi's Ageless Insight) while only giving your opponents 7, it's a pretty unfair trade in our favor. It can also be used to try and dig for wincons since you'll see over 10% of your deck every time you do it. These wheels shuffle your graveyards and hands into your library so they can be a way to prevent you from offing yourself on accident (e.g. teferi's puzzle box) and can restock your wincons and counters if the match is going long.\n"}]}
