{"ops":[{"insert":"I was in High School when Magic first released so, though I was aware if it, I wasn't into card games. That was just too nerdy. \nFast forward to February, 2021...the world has grown tired of the COVID pandemic lockdown, I now play Pokemon TCG with my kids, but my wife feels left out. She wants something we can play together on our own. I mention that the shelves at Walmart and Target are full of Magic sets and the artwork has caught my eye. She excitedly confesses that she has wanted to play for years, but didn't think I would be into it. So we picked up a few Core 2021 Planeswalker decks, Core 2020 and Theros Beyond Death Toolkits, and a bunch of Kaldheim and Zendikar Rising packs. \n\nThen we discovered how incredibly BIG the world of MTG really is! \nI would have given up trying to learn if it hadn't been for Arena. \n\nDuring the Summer of 2022, I became interested in the Commander/EDH format. Though I'm still new at it, I really enjoy building these decks far more than any Standard, Modern, or Pioneer deck. But what I don't understand is why they have to be so expensive! Taking inspiration from The Commander's Quarters YouTube videos (as well as other budget deck building sites), I try to build around cards I have already aquired, while keeping it fun and functional, but ultimately CHEAP! The decks I build, I have in paper, so they are limited to what I have on-hand and not theoretical decks.\n\nHow functional are the decks I build? I don't know yet...as of the time I'm writing this, I have yet to actually take a deck out into the world and try it against a real opponent. So, if you build one of my decks for yourself, or have any constructive criticism, please feel free to leave a comment. Cheers!\n\nMr_Wilson \nNov. 2022\n"}]}
