The first commander deck I built from scratch was my ill-fated Jalira list, which acted as a temporary solution to getting in on game nights while I was still pinching pennies for the cards I needed for my Angus Mackenzie super friends deck. I like to think of Angus as my first real commander, but that's mostly because I'm ashamed of my prior lists. Though that deck has more or less survived all these years, Angus has not. Instead, Ishai and Kodama of the East Tree are at the helm of that list following a brief stint with Estrid.
