{"ops":[{"insert":"So, something that I noticed while playing around with the custom CMC feature is that when a spell like Fireball which has an X in its casting cost, its CMC will count the colored pips but not the X. I'm not sure if this is deliberate or not, because I can think of at least one spell (Electrodominance) where the X is frequently zero in order to break the Suspend spells, hence the question mark on the bug bit. What say you, oh wise and powerful wizards of the electron?\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Working as intended! When a card with an X in its casting cost is not on the stack, the X is considered to be 0. For instance, if you could search your library for a card with CMC 1 or less, Fireball would be a permissible choice because only the 1 red counts toward CMC. That being said, the custom CMC feature is there for exactly this purpose if it feels more intuitive to have it set as something else! \n"}]}
