{"ops":[{"insert":"When searching for cards, it would drastically improve the user experience if the cards were limited by format legality and commander color identity (when that applies).\n\nSo if I'm putting together a Legacy deck and I type \"lotus\", the card selection shouldn't suggest "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Black Lotus"}},{"insert":" since that's not legal in the format.\n\nIn the same vein, if I'm building a mono-green deck (identity determined by the commander being set) and I type \"vexing\", it should not select "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Vexing Shusher"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Vexing Devil"}},{"insert":" (among others) since they are illegal in this commander's color identity.\n\nAt the same time, it would be nice to have a checkbox/setting to maintain the current \"any card goes\" functionality as well. The use case for those is \"no banned list\" Legacy/Modern tournaments.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"We already have legality restrictions in the search for the deck's format. That does not restrict the autocomplete, however when you actually confirm a search, only legal cards will show up. This is a dropdown that can then be reset if you want to see all cards.\n\nAs far as the color identity, we do offer that filter in the advanced options. However, if it should be set to the commander's identity by default, I'm not sure. I'll poll around if that would be intuitive.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"You could make it opt in/out if desired. Then you could get the current functionality or list only cards that fit in your decks identity and legality.\n"}]}
