Feature requests - card flex slots / upgrade path & wishlist

{"ops":[{"insert":"This is probably a niche feature, but I for one would love to see it. What if, in a deck, you could have multiple cards take up a single slot? It's a bit hard to explain, but the main function of it would be for budget options. Every green EDH deck surely wants a Gaea's Cradle, but a forest will have to suffice for most of us. A lot of my decks have many budget options which I'll upgrade over time, so it would be nice to have the option to see the deck fully optimized and which ones I would take out for the upgrades. It would also be a great help to all of the primers that show a $2000 deck, but also have cheaper variants. It could let them show all of the possible cards for each budget on one page and let people upgrade with what they have and what they can afford.\n\nAlong with this feature, or possibly a replacement since I'm sure the above feature would be quite hard to code and design for, it would be nice to have a separate board from sideboard and maybeboard with a wishlist. Cards you want in the deck, but can't currently budget.\n\nAnd finally, we need categories for sideboards and maybeboards. I also think that, with the inclusion of categories for them, it would be less confusing if they were placed under the mainboard separated with some whitespace instead of to the right side. Some of my decks have dozens of maybeboard cards, and it's such a chore going through them on the right side in one giant heap.\n\nAlso, I'd like to thank you again for this wonderful website. It's so intuitive and I love using it so much more than the competitors. Keep up the great work!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Thanks so much for the kind words! It means a lot to hear when people are enjoying using the site.\n\nYour first feature I think would be fixed by allowing versioning of decks which we've talked about a lot. Basically allow deck builders to lock in a version of a deck and update it independently of the version everyone else sees. Obviously this could be done by copying an existing deck and editing them independently, but that's not super intuitive. I really like this idea though of having future replacement cards. It could get confusing from a usability standpoint, but I really like this idea. When we go to do deck versioning/ histories I'll be sure to bring this up as a cool idea to work in if we can.\n\nNot sure we'd want to move it from the right of the deck. Simply because it makes sense for viewing a lot of decks. Obviously this can get hairy when brewing an EDH deck with 100+ extra cards in the maybeboard though so I think some thought should be put into trying to make that better. We've talked about having dedicated categories that you can mark as \"not included\" in the deck. But one of the next major features we want to include is allowing for multiple categories across the deck (like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Solemn Simulacrum"}},{"insert":" as card draw, ramp, etc), so keeping your idea in mind. Allowing users to set a card as Maybeboarded + other categories could mark them as not in the deck. There's definitely some thought that's gotta go in here.\n\nThanks so much for the feedback! We'll keep this stuff in mind when we go to actually build this stuff. If you ever have more suggestions feel free to let us know -- we love to hear it!\n\nCheers,\nMichael\n"}]}
