This does result in some oddities since the data is crowed sourced, but since going in and manually tuning cards is untenable, we tend to just leave them as is. \n\nGood news is that if you disagree with a community category, changing it will help sway the numbers towards a different community category name. \n\nWe also have our personal categories system, which are effectively global category names for cards for your account. So if you don't care for a specific community category on a card, change it to what you want, then hit the lock categories button. Doing so will apply the current categories as your account's personal categories. Then whenever that card is added to a deck, the personal categories will superceed all other categories, and you'll be good to go. Since that category name will also be taken in to account when we recalculate the community category for cards, you'll be better the data every time you add that card to a deck.\n\nAs for keeping track of the top 3 most used category names for a card, we would not want to do that. The data falls off pretty quickly after one, since in general people who care about categories tend to get pretty specific about category names, which can often lead to splitting the vote. (Eg: A lot of users wouldn't call a category \"Draw\", but rather \"Acceleration\", \"Card advantage\", \"Hand advantage\", etc) So if we looked at the top 3, more often than not, they'd all be the same thing just with similar/ same-meaning names. \n\nMy advice to you, or anyone who doesn't care for the community category on a specific card, would be to overwrite it with your own preferred personal category. And in doing so, ideally if enough people do that, the next time the community categories get recalculated (once a week), they'll be updated with the more accurate category name. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Hi Michael\n\nThanks for the quick response and the clarification. \nWhile typing, I briefly considered the possibility that parts of my suggestion are already implemented.\nI knew I could create my own categories and drag and drop cards around. \nThis in itself is already a luxury, and the bit about personal categories I really appreciate you telling me.\n\nBut one question remained unanswered:\nWhat do you think about the idea of card aliases (as a deck builder feature) to make a card show up in multiple categories, while only occupying a single deck slot? To me it would be nice to have an option to display Elfman McElfface in multiple categories, since he's ramp, anthem and part of the finisher combo. Just a grey version of the card to indicate that he also belongs in two other categories.\n\nHere's another example:\nFor my wizard tribal, I put all wizards in a wizard group, to make it easy to calculate odds how likely it is to draw into a wizard.\nBut they all have different effects, Trinket mage is a tutor and won't show up in the tutor group, Some other wizard draws cards and doesn't show up in draw. Etc.\nSo now to calculate tutor or draw outs, my numbers are wrong.\n\nI don't wanna seem ungrateful, the deck builder is already great as it is. \nIt's just a feature I'd love to have, but I understand why it might be a pain to make.\nI'll stop bothering you with this now.
