Description
{"ops":[{"insert":" In a world… where one zombie… must overcome all odds… Korlash, Heir to Blackblade stars in… STORM LEVEL MIDNIGHT.\n \nRegenerate compliments a Voltron strategy, similar to having innate hexproof or indestructibility. Korlash caught my eye as an interesting mono-black lands/Voltron/regenerate commander. Our black knight will easily regenerate himself (’tis but a scratch!) while we hold up mana for removal and card draw. This deck wants to make sure we hit our land drops, buff Korlash with redundant effects like Blackblade Reforged (the flavor!), and give Korlash evasion to K.O. with commander damage. \n \nSince our theme is regenerate, so we have lots of other great creatures with the ability, emphasizing cheap mana cost and regeneration, good utility, and evasion that works well when suited up with our swamp-buffing equipment. My favorites of these are Mischievous Poltergeist for the flying and 1-life regeneration, and Scavenging Ghoul that regenerates for free after a creature dies. The sacrifice outlet on Dimir House Guard is always welcome anti-theft tech, and it also has excellent evasion and can transmute to find some of the most important cards in our deck. Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon are regenerate powerhouses that are also our back-up win conditions, overwhelming our opponents with card advantage or infect.\n"}]}
