{"ops":[{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"6/30/24"},{"insert":"\nHello and thanks for joining. This deck follows my other decks with regards to deck construction and pod considerations:\n\nNo combo wins unless needed to break a boring, slog of a game."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Telegraphed tutors - minimal in general, to the graveyard or on the battlefield, higher costed, etc. Very few 1 or 2 CMC to hand if any."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Incidental infinite anything. If someone does go infinite its usually accidental and never wins the game. Infinite payoffs are not cool."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"One can proxy something but they have to own it first. This encourages more builds and decks and thus diversity of play as opposed to consolidating power within a deck."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nWe are not trying to win on turn 3 or 4 because of the money requirements, social dynamics, and gameplay variety we want to see. A burn deck might on luck and happens from time to time. At the same time winning past turn 10 seems like an eternity and we have well defined win conditions, regular decks, and a general pod meta to prevent long games.\n\nA couple of design ethos from this deck:\nThe more I play this deck the more I wonder if Henzie isn't the better answer. I don't want to (a) swing with bodies and (b) go down the rabbit hole of sac/combo. And to be clear sac/combo is what Slimefoot & Squee really, really want to do."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"The first few builds I did of this deck did not have enough teeth. Too much draw, way too much discard, too much mana. I keep trying to play it like an ETB deck but Slimefoot and Squee is not an ETB deck. Now I'm only convincing myself of making it a Henzie deck. I need to convince the other Henzie player to get off it. "},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nXXX\nOpen questions:\nIs this really it for Jund interaction on the stack? What am I missing here. "},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Do I really need 8 instant speed sac outlets? Especially when I can recur them if needed? I think I've overcompensating based on prior aristocrats builds getting hosed so hard. I could probably go down to 6. I guess we start to get into the weeds considering ratios - I can put in more draw to find them but I'll run into the risk of having too big of hand or GY. I can't have a large GY as it leaves me open to it getting exiled. I think the answer here is just play this out. Obviously the answer is run more tutors. But tutoring into a sac outlet is so fucking try hard. Will need to get a larger sample size after I'm done with edits."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"I think I still have too many enablers/support and not enough teeth."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nRepeatable + Tutorable:\n\tBoardwipe = Massacre Girl\n\tTutor = Razaketh, the Foulblooded\n\tDraw = The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride for combat trigger or Disciple of Freyalise for ETB. Gitrog is good. Probably one of the better first tutor targets if you have a tutor in your opening hand. \n\tRamp = The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride for combat trigger or Mahidi/Pitiless for repeatable death trigger. ETB trigger on a body that's worth spending 4 mana on from S&S doesn't make any sense. \n\tUnconditional Spot Removal = Alpha Deathclaw. Is this actually worth it? The body is good for sure but spending 4 mana for removal? It certainly frees up other cards in the deck. That's probably worth it.\n\tReturn From GY to Hand = Charnel Wurm for combat trigger or XXX for ETB (Greenwarden of Murasa vs Eternal Witness?)\n"}]}
