Well, I have the deck for you! Meet "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Ashiok, Wicked Manipulator"}},{"insert":".\n\nObviously, Ashiok isn't our commander, moreso the end that justifies our means. With their ultimate, we can effectively nuke someone from the board (by chance that our exile pile has high enough cmc). Fun fact intermission! Ashiok's ultimate counts total cmc of cards in your exile. This means you are rewarded for having higher mana value cards in your exile, rather than the number of cards. Radical!\n\nNow, in the words of words: How Ashiok(?). Believe it or not, through different tasteful methods. "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Arena Rector"}},{"insert":" not only tutors Ashiok but also adds to our exile. "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Arc-Slogger"}},{"insert":", surprisingly exiles cards face up from our library, and with ten at a time can easily add to the total cmc quickly. It can work well if they do know as well, but requires a bit of finesse and poker facing on your part.). "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Angel of Grace"}},{"insert":" can exile itself from the graveyard to give you a small boost to your life total should you fall too low (note 10 is low as hell but if you win, the only life total you should care about is 1). Well, Ashiok has a funny passive that allows you to exile cards from the top of your library if you so happen to pay life for an effect. You know who will pay 5 for some +1/+1 counters and you have to put zero mana into using? That's right, Licia! This absolute unit of a commander fulfills a decent few niches of the deck. Pays life, check. Gains life, check. Can possibly win the game if need be, check. Can be cheap to cast, check. Has a high mana value, check (if we so happen to exile our commander and choose not to send her back to the command zone 🤠(holy shit, you can use emojis in the descriptions!)) .\n\nLicia also reacts well with our game plan. For one, her color identity supplies us with red for impulse drawing plus "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Arc-Slogger"}},{"insert":", white for some Planeswalker support and sustainability with life gain, and black for our wincon, removal and other various niches. Commander damage ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Favor of the Mighty"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Detective's Phoenix"}},{"insert":" for the win) and just overall swinging away at opponents can soften them up for Ashiok or even clean up after the ultimate.\n\nLastly, damn Ashiok. Note, this deck isn't meant to be a bracket 3/4 experience. Sure it can do the thing. There are tutors and a game changer in there to facilitate the thing, but overall the thing doesn't win straight out. Ashiok still needs to tick up to shoot someone out of the game and ONLY with setup. I'm opting to not run proliferation to turbo out the “Out of nowhere” kills with Ashiok. It's not fun for me, nor for my play group. If you so choose to build this deck or take inspiration from this list, you can add those things or optimize it to any degree that you please. With all that out of the way, I hope you enjoyed this miniature deck tech/meme essay of my deck. Stay cool and peace out.\n\nP.S. I recommend Magenta colored sleeves for this deck. It pops quite well with the Mardu color identity.\n"}]}
