Dragon God had surprised me in how good he was in my old list so I knew I had to include him here. Cards like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Fable of the Mirror-Breaker // Reflection of Kiki-Jiki"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Liliana of the Veil"}},{"insert":" are now iconic staples in the Rakdos Midrange decks of the past several months. I have since pivoted the deck from a control archetype and focused more on a midrange archetype with a deep top end pool of threats. This seemed more to play to Grixis' strengths rather than trying to compete with other control decks. Some cards I think have shined in this list have been "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Maestros Charm"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Preacher of the Schism"}},{"insert":". Maestro's charm has been super versatile for me in many games. The card selection mode is great later on when you need to find more gas, the damage portion kills "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sheoldred, the Apocalypse"}},{"insert":" so its basically the best card ever. The life drain portion is the least powerful mode but it can make the difference later on. Preacher is a nice mid game wall as due to its death touch and its two abilities are nice. We have painful mana base and run "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Thoughtseize"}},{"insert":" so we will be losing lots of life so we will most likely be making 1/1s that will gain us some life which helps stall. However, the card draw it provides is great. The idea of the deck is to meet your opponent with early removal and disruption and survive until you are able to start resolving your planeswalkers (Basically super-friends, but trying to stay on theme with the best Villain, Nicol Bolas). IF you are ever in a state to transform Ravager, you are most likely already winning if not in a good position to. "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Fires of Invention"}},{"insert":" has been a consideration for me but I am still uncertain on if it would inhibit or improve the list. Perhaps only trying that version it will let me know! Inclusions of "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Corpse Appraiser"}},{"insert":", some counterspells, perhaps "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Opt"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Consider"}},{"insert":" would allow you to stay in Grixis colors if you got rid of the Nicol Bolas planeswalkers. But in my opinion, you would be better off either just playing Rakdos or the kinda fringe Grixis phoenix decks\n"}]}
