Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"Welcome to my Funeral Shambler primer. \n\nNested Shambler is criminally underplayed and I've been tinkering with this list for a long time. This is an aggressive tempo deck that leans more Midrange than aggro. You can frequently see Mortician Beetles or Carrion Feeders at 7/7 or 6/6. \n\nThe all-star [[Nested Shambler]] synergizes with:\n\n[[Funeral Charm]] , at instant speed you can make three Squirrels. You can also kill a Faerie, or something bigger if your opponent thought their creature was safe to block with. Make your opponent discard their topdeck in a topdeck war. Give a critical attacker Swampwalk. Not as relevant, but it has won me games before.\n\n[[Nameless Inversion]] will remove a threat. It'll also give you four Squirrels at instant speed. It can also provide a damage boost on a big unblocked Beetle or Feeder.\n\n[[Ghoulcaller's Chant]] will get back two of your critical pieces from the yard for a single mana. In addition to getting Shambler and Feeder, it can get back Nameless Inversion. It's a Zombie, due to being a Tribal Changeling Instant.\n\nThe game plan is to deploy threats quickly. Tempo out your opponent with [[Cry of Contrition]]. You will often force your opponent to discard two cards on turn two. If you're lucky with two Cry's you can force a discard of four cards and you're left with a board of Squirrels by turn three.\n\nBeat down with big thicc dummies while you're opponent scrambles for cards.\n\nCombat math becomes a headache for our opponent with our THREE multipurpose combat tricks. In [[Supernatural Stamina]], Funeral Charm and Nameless Inversion. We can often knock a confident opponent to dead by getting around their blockers for those extra points.\n\n-------\n\nWe run Faerie Macabre in the board to not have to pay mana for our yard hate. We really need our mana to be doing other work.\n\nContaminated Ground deals with Tron, but has surprising application against Utopia Sprawl decks. Turning the land into a Swamp and nothing else. Makes the Sprawl fall off. It can also mess with Artifact Lands that have been animated.\n\nThe Sylvok Lifestaff stabilizes against aggro. If equipped to a Shambler it'll even provide an extra Squirrel when it dies. That's why we run a single copy in the main board, just for the value.\n\nWe don't need our yard at all to win. So if you suspect big graveyard hate brought in against you in game two. You can just cut all the Chants to get relevant sideboard cards. Especially if your opponent sees a lot of yard shenanigans in game one.\n\nWe get up under control, with fast discard and big beaters that are strange to remove due to our instant speed sacrifice outlets.\n\nWe go over aggro by being able to control their removal with free instant speed sacrifice outlets and our creatures just out-muscling them in the mid game.\n"}]}
