Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"Graveyard Matters"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nDo you enjoy looping cards in and out of your graveyard? If yes, then this might be the deck for you. This deck is looking to generate value by sending stuff to it's own graveyard, most frequently using wheels and rummaging effects, to then get all that stuff out of the graveyard. Due to Quintorius only caring about the fact that a card leaves the graveyard there's a combination of recursion to battlefield, recursion to hand, putting cards back into the library, and simply sending things to exile. Once again focusing on the wording is important because getting more than one card out of the graveyard in a single instance still only makes a single spirit, which means that multiple individual triggers is the strongest route. There's incremental value to be gained by looping permanents in and out of the graveyard, but winning the game comes down to the army of spirits created from all these zone changes. Keeping these spirits alive and getting them through blockers will be crucial to any victory.\n\nCards to take note of are Bag of Holding and Currency Converter which exile cards from the graveyard if the card(s) were discarded. Both of these cards trigger individually per each card discarded regardless of how many are discard at once. Pairing these with the wheel effects can create an immediate army of spirits. These cards can be the most effective way of creating spirits even without wheel effects if there are any of the other card advantage cards that discard to draw one or two cards. Not to mention that if you're willing to pay the mana they each have activated abilities to discard. On the other hand, despite these cards being highly synergistic with Quintorius they can cause some friction with the reanimation effects as there will be less cards to choose from in the graveyard. \n\nWith Quintorius costing 5 mana to cast there are two main strategies for setting up the early game. Either focus on ramping to get the commander out on turn 4 or ideally turn 3. This is to ensure that every time there's a card leaving the graveyard that there's a trigger to see it. Or focus on filling the graveyard and play a card that will provide opportunities for graveyard triggers to happen. This can be easy to play out with the use of any of the lands that can target cards in the graveyard (ie. Mistveil Plains) or any kind of fetch-lands with Crucible of Worlds. Fitting in these sort of land plays are low to no-cost repeatable value effects that will help in the production of spirits.\n\nThis is truly a fun deck to play, but there are a couple of things that may end the fun if you're not careful. The first is that this deck can be very hard to win with if the commander is repeatedly removed. Without spirit production there's not much else in the deck to punch through relevant amounts of damage and then can eventually stall out. Although this will often not be the scariest commander at the table or biggest threat on board, if someone wants to shutdown the deck removing Quintorius is a quick way to do so. The second is graveyard hate. Anything that stops cards from making it to the graveyard will be back-breaking and even the one off effects can diminish the efforts of filling up the graveyard in the early game. There's not too much to stop it, unless you really love Leyline of Sanctity, just be prepared for the possibility. \n\n[Note: Deck best viewed with 'grouped by' ---> 'multiple categories']\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Wife's Stats (Updated June 2026)"},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"2026: Games Won- 0\n\t\t\t\tGames Played- 6\n\t\t\t\tWin Percentage- 0%\n\t\t\t\tAvg.
